Making Photoresponsive Metal–Organic Frameworks an Effective Class of Heterogeneous Photocatalyst

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review summarizes photoresponsive MOFs for photocatalytic applications, focusing on their capacity to enhance light harvesting, charge transfer, and surface reactions. While existing studies provide foundational insights, emerging characterization techniques enable a deeper understanding of photoresponsive MOFs.

Simple model of photo acoustic system for greenhouse effect [PDF]

open access: yesJ. Eur. Phys. 33, 623-635 (2012), 2010
The green house effect is caused by the gases which absorb infrared ray (IR) emitted by the earth. It is worthwhile if we can adjudicate on which gas causes the greenhouse effect in our class. For this purpose, one of our authors, Kaneko has designed an educational tool for testing greenhouse effect \cite{Kaneko}. This system (hereafter abbreviated PAS)

Application of Semi-Empirical Ventilation Models in A Mediterranean Greenhouse with Opposing Thermal and Wind Effects. Use of Non-Constant Cd (Pressure Drop Coefficient Through the Vents) and Cw (Wind Effect Coefficient) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The present work analyses the natural ventilation of a multi-span greenhouse with one roof vent and two side vents by means of sonic anemometry. Opening the roof vent to windward, one side vent to leeward, and the other side vents to windward (this last ...

High Thermoelectric Performance in Low‐Cost Cu8SiSxSe6‐x Argyrodite

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study discovers the great potential of Cu8SiSxSe6‐x argyrodites as new, low‐cost, Te‐free thermoelectric materials. The proposed defect scheme suppresses the phase transition, enhances the weighted mobility and optimizes the grain boundary contacts.

A Bayesian Neural ODE for a Lettuce Greenhouse [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Greenhouse production systems play a crucial role in modern agriculture, enabling year-round cultivation of crops by providing a controlled environment. However, effectively quantifying uncertainty in modeling greenhouse systems remains a challenging task.

Soil and soil CO2 magnify greenhouse effect [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
Soil has been recognized as an indirect driver of global warming by regulating atmospheric greenhouse gases. However, in view of the higher heat capacity and CO2 concentration in soil than those in atmosphere, the direct contributions of soil to greenhouse effect may be non-ignorable.
