Machine Learning‐Driven Multi‐Objective Optimization of Microchannel Reactors for CO₂ Conversion

open access: yesAdvanced Sustainable Systems, EarlyView.
This study introduces a novel method that combines CFD, RSM, and ML to improve a microreactor's performance utilizing the Sabatier reaction. A range of ML models is assessed, and the best one is selected to predict optimal reactor conditions. ML shows the ability to predict performance in just milliseconds, leading to a decrease in computational time ...

Bringing Information Credibility Back Into Transparency: The Case for a Global Monitoring System Of Green House Gas Emissions [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2016
The goal of climate change governance is to stabilize greenhouse gas concentrations. This requires the reduction of anthropogenic global net emissions. In the pursuit of such a reduction, knowledge of greenhouse gas sources and sinks is critical to define baselines, and assess the effectiveness of climate governance over time.

Sustainable Flame‐Retardant Poly Lactic Acid Biocomposites Reinforced with Polyphosphate‐Enriched Microalgae: Unlocking the Potential of Hyper‐Compensation

open access: yesAdvanced Sustainable Systems, EarlyView.
This study explores microalgae cultivation for wastewater treatment and enhancement of poly lactic acid (PLA)‐based biocomposites. It achieves up to 99.9% nutrient removal, increases biomass productivity by 322%, and demonstrates a triphasic luxury phosphorus uptake system. Incorporation into PLA improves fire‐retardant properties, suggesting potential

Greenhouse gas emissions from croplands of China [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
China possesses cropland of 1.33 million km 2. Cultivation of the cropland not only altered the biogeochemical cycles of carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) in the agroecosystems but also affected global climate.

Electrosynthetic control of CNT conductivity & morphology: Scale-up of the transformation of the greenhouse gas CO2 into carbon nanotubes by molten carbonate electrolysis [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2016
Transformation of carbon dioxide into carbon nanotubes, CNTs, by electrolysis in molten carbonates provides a low cost route to extract and store this greenhouse gas. CNTs are more stable, compact and valuable than fuels or other CO2 conversion products, providing an incentive to remove CO2 for climate mitigation.

The GhWL1‐GhH1‐GhGA2OX1 Transcriptional Module Regulates Cotton Leaf Morphology

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identified GhWL1 as a key gene involved in regulating leaf development through analysis of a T‐DNA insertion mutant. The GhWL1‐GhH1 complex is shown to positively regulate GhGA2OX1 by directly binding to its promoter, thereby establishing the GhWL1‐GhH1‐GhGA2OX1 module as a critical pathway in leaf development.
