Women on Boards and Greenhouse Gas Emission Disclosures

open access: yes, 2019
We apply institutional and board capital theory to examine whether women on boards are associated with disclosure and quality of corporate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions related reporting.

Mechanical Homogenization Promoting Dual‐Directional Upcycling of Layered Oxide Cathodes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces an efficient dual‐directional upcycling scheme enabled through a mechanical homogenization pretreatment. It enables various layered oxide cathodes to be reprocessed into fresh NCM cathodes with tailored Ni contents through boosted atomic diffusion in just 4 h of solid‐state sintering.

Greenhouse gas mitigation and electricity saving potential from replacing refrigerants in Thai refrigerator

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2021
Refrigerant leak from refrigerator production and operation is one of major sources that causes greenhouse gases (GHG) emission due to the high global warming potential (GWP) from existing Tetrafluoroethane (R-134a) which is hydrofluorocarbon (HFC ...

Assessment of Eco-friendly Gases for Electrical Insulation to Replace the Most Potent Industrial Greenhouse Gas SF6.

open access: yesEnvironmental Science and Technology, 2018
Gases for electrical insulation are essential for the operation of electric power equipment. This Review gives a brief history of gaseous insulation that involved the emergence of the most potent industrial greenhouse gas known today, namely sulfur ...

Methane: A Neglected Greenhouse Gas [PDF]

open access: yes
Methane is a greenhouse gas that gets far less public attention than carbon dioxide. This is entirely unwarranted. Being 25 times more potent than carbon dioxide in trapping heat in the atmosphere, methane accounts for about one-sixth of all ...

Bioinspired Smart Nanogels for Rapid Blue Laser‐Activated Hemostasis in Gastrointestinal Bleeding

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Waxberry‐inspired branched‐silica nanogel can swiftly stop bleeding upon blue laser endoscopy for gastrointestinal hemostasis in the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum of mini‐pigs. Abstract Gastrointestinal bleeding (GIB) is a critical condition that requires rapid and effective intervention.

Greenhouse gas emissions from croplands of China [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
China possesses cropland of 1.33 million km 2. Cultivation of the cropland not only altered the biogeochemical cycles of carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) in the agroecosystems but also affected global climate.
