High‐Throughput Screening and Interpretable Machine Learning for Rational Design of Bimetallic Catalysts for Methane Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Methane's efficient catalytic removal is vital for sustainable development. Bimetallic catalysts, though promising for methane activation, pose a design challenge due to their complex compositional space. This work introduces an integrated framework that combines high‐throughput density functional theory (DFT) and interpretable machine ...

Auctioning Greenhouse Gas Emissions Permits in Australia [PDF]

open access: yes
The allocation of permits is an important design aspect of an emissions trading scheme. Traditionally, governments have favoured the free allocation of greenhouse gas permits based on individual historical emissions (‘grandfathering’) or industry ...

ROS‐Responsive Nanobubbles for Dual‐Enhanced Ultrasound and Magnetic Resonance Imaging of Tumor Oxidative Stress

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We report the development of biotinylated PEGylated bilirubin‐coated perfluoropentane (bt‐PEG‐BR@PFP) nanobubbles, a novel class of ROS‐activatable and dual‐modality contrast agents that amplify both ultrasound (US) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) signals in response to elevated ROS.

2007 Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Selected Iowa Source Categories

open access: yes, 2008
The Department’s 2007 Greenhouse Gas Inventory is a refinement of previous statewide inventories. It is a bottom-up inventory of two sectors – fossil fuel combustion at federally-recognized major sources of air pollution and fossil fuel combustion and ...

Mass‐Transport–Engineered CCM Architecture Employing MPL‐Free Carbon Paper and Graphene‐Coated Ni Foam Channels for High‐Temperature PEM Fuel Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A CCM‐based architectural strategy is introduced for high‐temperature PEM fuel cells, enabling MPL‐free carbon paper gas diffusion layers via decal‐transfer processing. By co‐engineering the CCM, GDL, and a G‐foam flow field, oxygen transport is enhanced while phosphoric‐acid leakage is suppressed, resulting in high power density and stable operation ...

Agriculture's role in greenhouse gas emissions and capture

open access: yes, 2010
This working paper addresses changes in climate and how the rising global temperature can be partially attributed to an increasing concentration of greenhouse gases (GHGs) in the atmosphere.

Technology processes of enhancement of broken soft and low permeability coal reservoir and surface development of coalbed methane

open access: yesMeitan kexue jishu
Broken soft and low permeability (BSLP) coal reservoirs are widely distributed in China. However, due to its soft and broken structure and low permeability, the conventional vertical/horizontal well direct fracturing technology is not ideal for the ...

Grain Boundary‐Driven Lattice Dynamics in a Solid‐State Li‐Ion Conductor

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Grain boundaries in Li3OCl${\rm Li}_3{\rm OCl}$ are shown to significantly alter its lattice dynamics and induce Li‐ion vibrational hardening and anion softening. These changes hinder ion transport while promoting electronic conductivity and instability.

In-tandem multi-waveband particulate absorption and size observations yield substantial changes in radiative forcing over industrial Central China [PDF]

open access: yesAtmospheric Chemistry and Physics
Coal-based industry in Shanxi, China, including power generation, steel, coke, and chemical manufacturing, emits large quantities of black carbon (BC), contributing significantly to regional aerosol radiative forcing.
