Managing Greenhouse Gas Emission
2022Rice (Oryza sativa) production systems have faced the two opposing challenges all over the world: the need to increase the production to nourish the world’s increasing population and reducing the emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG). Nitrous oxide (N2O), carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) are the most significant GHGs ...

Plant-breeding approaches, allied to knowledge of animal nutrition, have considerable promise with respect to reducing emissions of both nitrous oxide and methane from livestock agriculture. Reduction in the requirement for nitrogenous fertilizer through enhanced nitrogen-use efficiency will also reduce nitrous oxide emissions from arable systems ...

Greenhouse Gas Emissions Scenarios
Technological Forecasting and Social Change, 2000Abstract The objective of this article is to summarize a set of 40 emissions scenarios developed by five different modeling teams. The scenarios are based on an extensive assessment of the literature and shared assumptions about the main driving forces of future emissions. They were developed in collaboration with many groups and individuals over the

China's greenhouse gas emissions
Global Environmental Change, 1994Abstract China is already the world's second largest producer of greenhouse gases, and its emissions will increase substantially during the coming generation. Rapid economic expansion will need much higher inputs of primary energy, and the continuing heavy reliance on coal will more than double the recent CO 2 emissions.

Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory
2012The technical definition of a community greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) inventory is an accounting of GHGs emitted by a community to (and in some cases, removed from) the atmosphere over a period of time, usually a calendar year. The inventory provides the baseline or existing condition from which to measure progress toward a GHG reduction target.
