Non-negligible greenhouse gases from urban sewer system
Background The urban sewer system is an important component of urban water infrastructure for sewage collection and transportation, and in-sewer transportation of sewage can cause multitudinous contaminant degradations which lead to formation of gaseous ...

Interpretable machine learning reveals how composition and processing govern the formation and microstructural burden of Fe‐rich intermetallic compounds in recycled Al–Si–Fe–Mn alloys. By separating morphology selection from morphology‐conditioned burden partitioning, this framework shows that identical Fe contents can yield different intermetallic ...

Greenhouse Gases Formation and Emission
The rising temperature of earth, known as global warming, is partially the result of the rise of greenhouse gases concentration in the atmosphere since the beginning of the 20th century, mostly due to anthropogenic activities.

A highly dispersed NiO‐MgO solid solution (MgxNi1‐xO) is created in a hierarchically porous Ca‐based matrix to protect Ni and CaO nanoparticles against carbon deposition and sintering. Owing to the reversible reconstruction of MgxNi1‐xO, this superior structure is self‐regenerative in the calcium looping dry reforming of methane process, thereby ...

This work constructed a tandem W−N−C center to simultaneously achieve the regulation of reaction pathways and optimization of charge separation efficiency. The Lewis‐acidic W6+ sites activated O2 to generate O2−$O_2^ - $, with enhanced charge separation via electronic modulation, steering U(VI) reduction down an efficient radical pathway.

Biofuels and climate change mitigation : a CGE analysis incorporating land-use change [PDF]
The question of whether biofuels help mitigate climate change has attracted much debate in the literature. Using a global computable general equilibrium model that explicitly represents land-use change impacts due to the expansion of biofuels, this study
