The Effects of Precipitation Event Characteristics and Afforestation on the Greening in Arid Grasslands, China

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2023
Global greening and its relationship with climate change remain the hot topics in recent years, and are of critical importance for understanding the interactions between the terrestrial ecosystem carbon cycle and the climate system.

Going Green: Estimating the Potential of Green Jobs in Argentina [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
This paper aims to identify and characterize the potential of green jobs in Argentina, i.e., those that would benefit from a transition to a green economy, using occupational green potential scores calculated in US O*NET data. We apply the greenness scores to Argentine household survey data and estimate that 25% of workers are in green jobs, i.e., have

A Global Remote-Sensing Assessment of the Intersite Variability in the Greening of Coastal Dunes

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2023
In recent decades, the vegetation on many coastal dunes has expanded spatially, which is attributed, among other things, to global-scale climate change.

The asymptotic behaviour of the exact and approximative $ν=1/2$ Chern-Simons Green's functions [PDF]

open access: yesEur. Phys. J. B 26, 307 (2002), 2001
We consider the asymptotic behaviour of the Chern-Simons Green's function of the $\nu=1/\tilde{\phi}$ system for an infinite area in position-time representation. We calculate explicitly the asymptotic form of the Green's function of the interaction free Chern-Simons system for small times.

Nutrient Status and Root Density of Huanglongbing-Affected Trees: Consequences of Irrigation Water Bicarbonate and Soil pH Mitigation with Acidification

open access: yesAgronomy, 2019
The Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus bacterium, associated with Huanglongbing (HLB) disease of citrus trees, moves downward in the phloem and infects the roots soon after transmission by the Asian Citrus Psyllid (Diaphorina citri) vector into shoots ...

Spin-weighted Green's functions in a conical space [PDF]

open access: yesMod.Phys.Lett. A11 (1996) 3075-3080, 1996
We give an analysis of the spin-weighted Green's functions well-defined in a conical space. We apply these results in the case of a straight cosmic string and in the Rindler space in order to determine generally the Euclidean Green's functions for the massless spin 1/2 field and for the electromagnetic field.
