Dynamic portfolio optimization based on grey relational analysis approach

open access: yesExpert Systems with Applications, 2020
This research focuses on the possibilities of Grey Relational Analysis (GRA) as a tool in portfolio selection. The main goal of the paper was to empirically evaluate possibilities of dynamic portfolio (re)structuring with respect to the results from ranking stocks when using the GRA approach.

Exploring wave propagation behaviors in rock: A grain‐based perspective on mineral structures

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
This study investigates wave propagation in rock at the grain scale using a grain‐based model, revealing that mineral elastic modulus significantly influences wave attenuation while grain size and distribution have limited effects. A novel peak particle velocity attenuation prediction model is proposed and validated for grain‐scale wave propagation ...

Application of Grey Relational Analysis for Optimizing Weld pool geometry parameters of Pulsed Current Micro Plasma Arc Welded AISI 304L stainless steel sheets [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advanced Design and Manufacturing Technology, 2013
Pulsed Current Plasma Arc Welding (PCPAW) is one of the most widely used welding processes in sheet metal manufacturing industry. In any fusion arc welding process, the weld bead geometry plays an important role in determining the mechanical properties ...

Machine Learning‐Driven Classification and Production Capacity Prediction of Tight Sandstone Reservoirs: A Case Study of the Taiyuan Formation, Ordos Basin

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
On the basis of core and log data, a Bayesian‐Optimized Random Forest model achieved 92.76% accuracy in classifying tight sandstone reservoirs. A gray relational analysis‐derived evaluation index shows > 80% consistency with actual gas zones. ABSTRACT Tight sandstone gas (TSG), an unconventional oil–gas resource, has heterogeneous reservoirs ...

Experimental Investigation of Sensitivity for Coal and Gas Outburst Risk Prediction Indexes in Raw and Tectonic Composite Coal Seams

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
A comparative study was conducted on gas desorption laws of raw and tectonic coals. The sensitivity of regional and local outburst prediction indexes was compared. Gas content is more sensitive than gas pressure for composite coal seams. K1 can more accurately predict the outburst danger than Δh2 $\Delta {h}_{2}$ in composite coal seams.

Sometimes Hot, Sometimes Not: The Relations Between Selected Situational Vocational Interests and Situation Perception

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Personality, EarlyView., 2020
Abstract Vocational interests are traditionally conceived as stable preferences for different activities. However, recent theorizing suggests their intraindividual variability. This preregistered experience sampling study examined intraindividual variation in selected vocational interests states and related situation and person factors (N = 237 ...

Pandemic Im/mobilities, reproductive injustices, and assisted reproductive technology use among Taiwanese LGBTQ parents

open access: yesFeminist Anthropology, EarlyView.
Abstract This article examines how mobility restrictions imposed by governments during the COVID‐19 pandemic intensified reproductive and mobility injustices. It traces shifting configurations of privilege and inequality within marginalized groups whose reproductive desires remain legally and socially unrecognized.

On the Trail of Creativity: Dimensionality of Divergent Thinking and Its Relation With Cognitive Abilities, Personality, and Insight

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Personality, EarlyView., 2020
Abstract Divergent thinking (DT) is an important constituent of creativity that captures aspects of fluency and originality. The literature lacks multivariate studies that report relationships between DT and its aspects with relevant covariates, such as cognitive abilities, personality traits (e.g. openness), and insight. In two multivariate studies (N

Spiritual Cannibalism in HRD: How Workplace Spirituality Devours Sacred Traditions

open access: yesHuman Resource Development Quarterly, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper interrogates how the discourse of workplace spirituality in human resource development (HRD) operates as a tool of colonization. Through a systematic review of 48 articles published between 1997 and March 2025, the study uncovers recurring patterns of spiritual appropriation in which non‐Western traditions are detached from their ...

Optimization of Performance and Emission Parameters of Biodiesel with Additives Using Taguchi and Grey Relational Analysis

open access: yesEngineering Proceedings
The objective of this study is to improve the performance of a diesel engine with direct injection using diethyl ether as an additive and pongamia methyl ester as a fuel and to minimize emissions. The optimization process considers two input factors, the
