Impact of Digital Control Delay on Stability of Grid-Following Converters
In a digital controlled system, the delay is inevitable. It will change the phase-frequency characteristics of the system, which will affect the stability. This paper analyzes the configuration of the grid-following converter and builds its small-signal model in detail.

Grid–Following DVI–Based Converter Operating in Weak Grids for Enhancing Frequency Stability [PDF]
Inertia requirement is the paramount challenge in future power systems with a significant share of renewable energy generators. A promising solution to this issue is applying Distributed Virtual Inertia (DVI) concept, i.e. releasing energy preserved in the dc-link capacitors of employed power converters in the grid following a frequency disturbance ...

Grid-Synchronization Stability of Converter-Based Resources—An Overview
This paper presents an overview of the synchronization stability of converter-based resources under a wide range of grid conditions. The general grid-synchronization principles for grid-following and grid-forming modes are reviewed first. Then, the small-

Modeling and Control of Grid Forming Converters: A Systematic Review
In electrical power systems where the proportion of synchronous generators (SG) is gradually decreasing, grid-forming (GFM) converters need to be installed and controlled to meet all the system requirements that SGs have provided to date.
