Passivity-based harmonic control through series/parallel damping of an H-bridge rectifier [PDF]
Nowadays the H-bridge is one of the preferred solutions to connect DC loads or distributed sources to the single-phase grid. The control aims are: sinusoidal grid current with unity power factor and optimal DC voltage regulation capability.

Ferroelectric Quantum Dots for Retinomorphic In‐Sensor Computing
This work has provided a protocol for fabricating retinomorphic phototransistors by integrating ferroelectric ligands with quantum dots. The resulting device combines ferroelectricity, optical responsiveness, and low‐power operation to enable adaptive signal amplification and high recognition accuracy under low‐light conditions, while supporting ...

Transition metal oxy/carbo‐nitrides show great promise as catalysts for sustainable processes. A Mn‐Mo mixed‐metal oxynitride attains remarkable performance for the direct synthesis of acetonitrile, an important commodity chemical, via sequential C─N and C─C coupling from syngas (C1) and ammonia (N1) feedstocks.

Resolving the Structural Duality of Graphene Grain Boundaries
Cantilever ncAFM resolves the atomic structure of grain boundaries in graphene, revealing coexisting stable and metastable types. Both contain pentagon/heptagon defects, but metastable GBs show irregular geometries. Modeling shows metastable GBs form under compression, exhibiting vertical corrugation, while stable GBs are flat.

Revisiting the Effect of Grid-Following Converter on Frequency Dynamics - Part I: Center of Inertia
Understanding the impact of grid-following (GFL) converters on system frequency dynamics is crucial, from both the center of inertia (COI) and frequency spatial variation perspectives. Part I of this series clarifies the mechanisms by which GFLs influence COI frequency dynamics.
