CodeGrid: A Grid Representation of Code [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 32nd ACM SIGSOFT International Symposium on Software Testing and Analysis, 2023
Code representation is a key step in the application of AI in software engineering. Generic NLP representations are effective but do not exploit all the rich structure inherent to code. Recent work has focused on extracting abstract syntax trees (AST) and integrating their structural information into code representations. These AST-enhanced ...

Dynamic Ancillary Services: From Grid Codes to Transfer Function-Based Converter Control [PDF]

open access: yesElectric power systems research, 2023
Conventional grid-code specifications for dynamic ancillary services provision such as fast frequency and voltage regulation are typically defined by means of piece-wise linear step-response capability curves in the time domain.

On Grid Quorums for Erasure Coded Data [PDF]

open access: yesEntropy, 2021
We consider the problem of designing grid quorum systems for maximum distance separable (MDS) erasure code based distributed storage systems. Quorums are used as a mechanism to maintain consistency in replication based storage systems, for which grid quorums have been shown to produce optimal load characteristics.

On Grid Codes

open access: yesCoRR, 2022
Generating functions for the size of a $r$-sphere, with respect to the Manhattan distance in an $n$-dimensional grid, are used to provide explicit formulas for the minimum and maximum size of an $r$-ball centered at a point of the grid. This allows us to offer versions of the Hamming and Gilbert-Varshamov bounds for codes in these grids.

Network coding in Smart Grids [PDF]

open access: yes2011 IEEE International Conference on Smart Grid Communications (SmartGridComm), 2011
Seeking to meet the resilience, efficiency and security challenges of smart grid communications, we present a set of strategies that leverage the benefits of network coding. The key idea is for intermediate nodes in the electrical power grid to store and send linear combinations of data packets they receive or overhear, thus ensuring that critical data

Comprehensive Review on Renewable Energy Sources in Egypt—Current Status, Grid Codes and Future Vision

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
The development of the energy sector in Egypt is considered an urgent issue due to the rapid population rise rate. In particular, renewable energy sources (RESs) applications play an essential role in the coverage of energy demand.

Legacy code support for production grids [PDF]

open access: yesThe 6th IEEE/ACM International Workshop on Grid Computing, 2005., 2005
In order to improve reliability and to deal with the high complexity of existing middleware solutions, today's production Grid systems restrict the services to be deployed on their resources. On the other hand end-users require a wide range of value added services to fully utilize these resources. This paper describes a solution how legacy code support
