Grid Generation and Algebraic Solvers
2022This work focuses on some of the most relevant numerical issues in the solution of the drift-diffusion model for semiconductor devices. The drift-diffusion model consists of an elliptic and two parabolic partial differential equations which are nonlinearly coupled.

One of the sad oddities of academic life is that great and original contributions get cursorily noticed at the time of their appearance, and are then ignored. Leslie Martin's ‘The Grid as Generator’ is one such case. Published in the book he co-authored with Lionel March in 1972, this opening essay – and indeed the entire book – represented an ...

A general grid-clustering approach
Pattern Recognition Letters, 2008Hierarchical clustering is an important part of cluster analysis. Based on various theories, numerous hierarchical clustering algorithms have been developed, and new clustering algorithms continue to appear in the literature. It is known that both divisive and agglomerative clustering algorithms in hierarchical clustering play a pivotal role in data ...

Structured and Unstructured Grid Generation
2020Current techniques in composite-block-structured grid generation and unstructured grid generation for general 3D geometries are summarized, including both algebraic and elliptic generation procedures for the former and Delaunay tessellations for the latter. Citations of relevant theory are given.

A Fast Algorithm for Grid Generation
Journal of Computational Physics, 1993The authors develop a fast algorithm for grid generation for solving complex fluid dynamics problems. The grid generation equations are initialised with Laplacian counterpart and good results are shown using a VAX-3400 computer. An extension of the proposed algorithm is also discussed.
