Extreme Weather Events and Agricultural Total Factor Productivity Growth
ABSTRACT The productivity of the agricultural sector is crucial for food security in a changing climate. This study estimates the impacts of extreme weather events on agricultural total factor productivity (TFP) growth, contributing to a more comprehensive understanding of the effects of climate change on agriculture.

Reconsidering solar grid parity
Grid parity-reducing the cost of solar energy to be competitive with conventional grid-supplied electricity-has long been hailed as the tipping point for solar dominance in the energy mix. Such expectations are likely to be overly optimistic. A realistic

Hydrogen‐based direct reduced iron (H‐DRI) melts differently from scrap and carbon‐bearing DRI. This work combines differential scanning calorimetry experiments, FactSage thermodynamics, and simple composition‐based regression to predict solidus, liquidus, heat capacity, and enthalpy for H‐DRI.

Grid parity of solar energy: imminent fact or future's fiction?
Summarization: One of the major questions related to renewable energy systems is whether we are approaching solar grid parity or not. Solar based power generation will play an important role in future sustainable energy mixes due to its high reliability,

Anthropogenic resource subsidies can drive mesopredator population growth, altering predator–prey dynamics. The red fox Vulpes vulpes is a generalist canid that can readily exploit such subsidies. In the UK, tens of millions of pheasants Phasianus colchicus and red‐legged partridges Alectoris rufa are released annually for sport shooting, potentially ...

Cost dynamics of onshore wind energy in the context of China's carbon neutrality target
Wind energy has become one of the most important measures for China to achieve its carbon neutrality goal. The spatial and temporal evolvement of economic competitiveness for wind energy becomes an important concern in shaping the decarbonization pathway

Ionothermal synthesis in Lewis‐acidic ionic liquids (ILs) yields two new low‐dimensional pnictogen–selenide networks cocrystallized with Cu[AlCl4]. Both are narrow‐gap semiconductors that exhibit strong absorption throughout the visible range. Topochemical AlCl3 extraction triggers partial delamination, pointing to a viable route toward 2D derivatives.
