An adaptive neural PLL for grid synchronization
IECON 2012 - 38th Annual Conference on IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2012In this paper, a new adaptive neural phase-locked loop (AN-PLL) based on adaptive linear neuron networks for grid-connected converters synchronization is presented. The proposed AN-PLL architecture contains three stages. Firstly, the frequency of polluted and distorted grid voltage is tracked online.

On measurement of synchronous phasors in electrical grids
2013 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS2013), 2013Precise estimation of frequency and phasor has become important in electrical power grids. Knowledge of phasor enables localization of faults, calculation of active and reactive power flows, determination of electrical parameters of system components (lines, transformers), etc.

Grid control with synchronized measurements
2022Today's state-of-the art in grid monitoring and control is based on the SCADA and EMS. Transformation of the grid driven by changes in generation mix, integration of renewable resources and demand variability will result in rapid, frequent and large changes in generation, demand and loading levels on the transmission grid.

Applications Control on Grid with Synchronizers
2006The paper presents new Grid application workflow paradigm based on advanced control mechanisms provided by synchronizers. Synchronizers generate program execution control decisions based on predicates computed on global application states. We propose that execution control by synchronizers is used to co-ordinate parallel applications executed on Grid ...

Pre-synchronization method for grid-connection of virtual synchronous generators based micro-grids
2017 19th European Conference on Power Electronics and Applications (EPE'17 ECCE Europe), 2017Since the photovoltaic power generation, wind power and other distributed power supply are volatile and random, they will affect the stability of the grid frequency. In order to improve the voltage and frequency in micro-grid, the virtual synchronous generator control strategy is proposed for inverter control, which can emulate the behavior of ...

A Novel Grid Voltage Synchronization
2018 IEEE 8th Annual International Conference on CYBER Technology in Automation, Control, and Intelligent Systems (CYBER), 2018In order to achieve fast detection for voltage dips premised on satisfying accuracy, this paper proposes a novel grid voltage synchronization method, which consists of two low-order complex finite impulse response filters and three second-order Kalman filters.

Stability Investigation of PLL-Based Grid Synchronization
2021 25th International Conference on Methods and Models in Automation and Robotics (MMAR), 2021This contribution investigates the grid synchronization procedure of grid-side inverters, i.e. the correct determination of the grid voltage frequency. A phase-locked loop (PLL) can be seen as the standard method for grid synchronization. Due to the grid impedance, the grid voltage cannot be measured directly and the measured voltage is a superposition

Synchronization for Smart Grid Infrastructure
2021Synchronization is key to the performance and operation of power system and more importantly for the next generation smart grid. Much of the anomalies of the power system can be avoided if power quantities are collected and analyzed in real time. For this reason, end-to-end time synchronization is essential.
