Reversible melting and equilibrium phase formation of (Bi,Pb)2Sr2Ca2Cu3O10+d

open access: yes, 2002
The decomposition and the reformation of the (Bi,Pb)2Sr2Ca2Cu3O10+d (?Bi,Pb(2223)?) phase have been investigated in-situ by means of High-Temperature Neutron Diffraction, both in sintered bulk samples and in Ag-sheathed monofilamentary tapes.

Limits to the critical current in Bi2Sr2Ca2Cu3Ox tape conductors: The parallel path model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
An extensive overview of a model that describes current flow and dissipation in high-quality Bi2Sr2Ca2Cu3Ox superconducting tapes is provided. The parallel path model is based on a superconducting current running in two distinct parallel paths.

Enhancing the Thermoelectric Properties of Conjugated Polymers by Suppressing Dopant‐Induced Disorder

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 36, Issue 25, June 20, 2024.
By creating well‐defined molecular cavities in P3HT‐based random copolymers, the dopant‐induced disorder is suppressed upon IEx‐doing of the polymers, leading to optimized molecular packing with minimized structural disorder, resulting in electrical conductivities in excess of 400 S cm−1 and power factor of >16 µW m−1 K−2, ranking them the highest ever

Interleukin-7 facilitates HIV-1 transmission to cervico-vaginal tissue ex vivo. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS Pathogens, 2013
The majority of HIV-1 infections in women occur through vaginal intercourse, in which virus-containing semen is deposited on the cervico-vaginal mucosa. Semen is more than a mere carrier of HIV-1, since it contains many biological factors, in particular ...

Habiter les îles fluviales : géographie d'un eau-delà [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In imaginative worlds, fluvial islands belong to the groups of fear and danger images, but also of tranquillity and refuge images. Their dwelling modes are characterized through the articulation of the imaginary and practices in a changing place.

Antibody‐dependent enhancement (ADE) of SARS‐CoV‐2 in patients exposed to MERS‐CoV and SARS‐CoV‐2 antigens

open access: yesJournal of Medical Virology, Volume 96, Issue 5, May 2024.
Abstract This study evaluated the potential for antibody‐dependent enhancement (ADE) in serum samples from patients exposed to Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS‐CoV). Furthermore, we evaluated the effect of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS‐CoV‐2) vaccination on ADE in individuals with a MERS infection history.

Gate‐tunable Thermoelectric Effect in Oxide Thin Films at Room Temperature

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, Volume 10, Issue 3, March 2024.
Ionic liquid‐based electric‐double‐layer gating on PLD‐grown Nb‐doped SrTiO3 thin films enables a significant range of tunability of thermoelectric power factors (PF) at room temperature within ±3 V gate voltages by optimizing carrier concentration (≈1015 cm‐2) and mobility.

Mise en place des îles fluviales en Loire moyenne, du 19e siècle à aujourd’hui

open access: yesCybergeo, 2012
Downstream of the confluence with the Allier River, the Middle Loire River is characterized by a fluvial bed with semi-embanked channel. The wooded islands are ubiquitous throughout the river’s landscape, and are areas of active vegetalization in the ...

Trauma exposure and disclosure in Hispanic youth at clinical high risk for psychosis: A retrospective review study

open access: yesEarly Intervention in Psychiatry, Volume 18, Issue 1, Page 58-62, January 2024.
Abstract Aim This exploratory study aimed to examine differences in rates of self and clinician‐reports of trauma in youth at clinical high risk for psychosis (CHR) and whether rates of reporting differed by ethnicity. Methods Self‐reported history of trauma was collected at intake amongst youth at CHR enrolled in Coordinated Specialty Care (CSC ...
