Harnessing the potential of the multi-indicator palaeoecological approach: an assessment of the nature and causes of ecological change in a eutrophic shallow lake [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
SUMMARY 1. Multi-indicator palaeoecological studies have become increasingly popular over the last decade as the need for a more complete understanding of lake ecological histories has increased.

Od Grobu Pańskiego po groby Gułagu

open access: yesRocznik Filozoficzny Ignatianum, 2021

S‐to‐P Receiver Function Imaging of Lithospheric Discontinuities in New Zealand at the Hikurangi Subduction Zone

open access: yesGeochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems, Volume 26, Issue 3, March 2025.
Abstract Subduction zones are important regions for understanding plate tectonic processes. New Zealand experiences slow slip, volcanism, and back‐arc rifting, and has evidence of large megathrust events and tsunamis. We use S‐to‐P receiver functions to image lithospheric discontinuities beneath the North Island of New Zealand. A positive discontinuity

Ultra-thin metamaterial for perfect and quasi-omnidirectional sound absorption

open access: yes, 2016
[EN] Using the concepts of slow sound and critical coupling, an ultra-thin acoustic metamaterial panel for perfect and quasi-omnidirectional absorption is theoretically and experimentally conceived in this work. The system is made of a rigid panel with a

The Economics of Liquid Staking Derivatives: Basis Determinants and Price Discovery

open access: yesJournal of Futures Markets, Volume 45, Issue 2, Page 91-117, February 2025.
ABSTRACT This paper provides a first economic analysis of liquid staking tokens, which are derivatives representing a share of staked tokens in Proof‐of‐Stake blockchains. We document substantial time‐variation in the “liquid staking basis” as given by the price difference between a derivative staking token and its underlying cryptocurrency.

MIEJSCE PAMIĘCI - PAMIĘĆ MIEJSCA, DEFINIOWANIE I ZASADY OCHRONY W DOKUMENTACH PLANISTYCZNYCH ŁODZI

open access: yesOchrona Dziedzictwa Kulturowego, 2018

Refining the Extent and Depth of the Shear Zone Surrounding the Alpine Fault Using Receiver Function Harmonics

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 51, Issue 23, 16 December 2024.
Abstract Large continental transform faults are thought to cross‐cut the crust and extend into the lithospheric mantle. However, the strain distribution associated with these faults at mantle depths is not well understood. At the heart of this question is the rheology of the lithosphere: when stressed by displacement on a trans‐crustal fault, does the ...

A tectonic reconstruction model for Aotearoa‐New Zealand from the mid‐Late Cretaceous to the present day

open access: yesNew Zealand Journal of Geology and Geophysics, Volume 67, Issue 4, Page 527-550, December 2024.
ABSTRACT We present a mid‐Late Cretaceous to present day tectonic reconstruction model for Aotearoa‐New Zealand. Our GPlates model comprises 50 rigid crustal blocks grouped into regions with common deformation histories set within a well‐defined Australia‐Pacific‐Antarctica plate circuit tied to a published global paleomagnetic absolute reference frame.
