Sol–gel‐derived ZnO–rGO hybrid nanoparticles enable Al7075 powder‐metallurgy composites to achieve concurrent gains in hardness and thermal conductivity while markedly lowering friction and wear. The hybrid architecture couples ZnO‐based load support with rGO‐assisted lamellar sliding and heat spreading, revealing a promising route toward lightweight ...

Pupillometry of Groove: Evidence for Noradrenergic Arousal in the Link Between Music and Movement
The capacity to entrain motor action to rhythmic auditory stimulation is highly developed in humans and extremely limited in our closest relatives. An important aspect of auditory-motor entrainment is that not all forms of rhythmic stimulation motivate ...

Electrified Damage in Motion Systems
The electrified damage in motion systems is a fundamental framework presenting the degradation pathway arising from the coupling of electrical energy transport with mechanical contact and interfacial chemistry. The framework positions electrified damage as a distinct degradation regime with unique characteristic surface morphologies and failures of ...

Machining Characteristics of Micro EDM of Silicon Carbide [PDF]
Silicon carbide (SiC) is chemically stable, highly heat-resistant, and resistant to thermal shock. SiC having excellent characteristics in a high temperature and high voltage environment is used in high-power semiconductors, high-precision mechanical ...

A 3D anisotropic hydrogel derived from heart extracellular matrix guides cytoskeletal alignment and nuclear remodeling in reprogrammed cardiomyocyte‐like cells. This study reveals how matrix alignment modulates nuclear envelope dynamics and chromatin state, triggering transcriptional and functional maturation.

Ultrasensitive Anti‐Stokes Luminescence Thermometry in Transition Metal Dichalcogenide Monolayers
We demonstrate a highly sensitive nanothermometer using anti‐Stokes photoluminescence, also known as photoluminescence upconversion (UPL), in monolayer tungsten disulfide. A strong resonantly enhanced UPL is observed, confirming the central role of optical phonons in the PL upconversion mechanism.

Syncopation creates the sensation of groove in synthesized music examples
In order to better understand the musical properties which elicit an increased sensation of wanting to move when listening to music – groove – we investigate the effect of adding syncopation to simple piano melodies, under the hypothesis that syncopation
