Optimum Cropping Pattern for Sericulture-dominant Farms in Southern Dry Zone of Karnataka [PDF]

open access: yes
Sericulture is labour-intensive and well-suited to small and marginal farms with surplus labour, especially female labour. Ample labour and a small land-base encourage farmers to practise sericulture as a subsidiary occupation.

Fermented Lacticaseibacillus Paracasei Cultures Ameliorate Colitis by Modulating Microbiota‐Derived Tryptophan Metabolism and Macrophage Polarization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A solid‐state fermented probiotic (PYW) is developed using wheat bran as substrate, containing high viable Lacticaseibacillus paracasei and bioactive metabolites. PYW alleviates intestinal inflammation by gut microbiota composition, enriching indole derivatives, activating aryl hydrocarbon receptor signaling, and regulating macrophage polarization. PYW

Primary production of phytoplankton in the three types of Amazonian waters. III. Primary productivity of phytoplankton in a tropical flood-plain lake of Central Amazonia, Lago do Castanho, Amazonas, Brasil

open access: yes, 1973
The primary productivity of phytoplankton in Lago do Castanho is characterized by a high production density (production per unit volume g C/m³). Because of unfavourable optical conditions in the water body, however, the thickness of the productive area ...

The Evolutionarily Conserved TPM1 Super‐Enhancer Drives Skeletal Muscle Regeneration via Mechanotransduction Signaling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By integrating biomechanical and epigenetic cues, the evolutionarily conserved TPM1 super‐enhancer drives myogenesis via TEAD4‐mediated chromatin looping. This mechanism produces species‐specific outputs (linear TPM1 mRNA in mice and CircTPM1 in bovine) that activate PI3K/AKT mechanotransduction and the MYH10/MYL3 axis to execute cytoskeletal ...

IGF‐1 Deficiency Serves as an Integrated Biomarker Pathogenic Driver and Predictor in Poor Ovarian Response

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
IGF‐1 deficiency underlies poor ovarian response (POR), as reduced levels in follicular fluid and granulosa cells impair antral follicle formation and compromise reproductive outcomes. Including IGF‐1 as a biomarker significantly enhances the accuracy of models predicting both PORrisk and pregnancy success.
