Identification of a general light use efficiency model for gross primary production [PDF]

open access: yesBiogeosciences, 2011
Non-stationary and non-linear dynamic time series analysis tools are applied to multi-annual eddy covariance and micrometeorological data from 44 FLUXNET sites to derive a light use efficiency model for gross primary production on a daily basis.

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Simulated daily weather dynamics and gross primary production in 4 locations for 100,000 years

open access: yes, 2021
IMPORTANT NOTE: The data in version 1 of this record, due to an error of units in the precipitation, had a non-physical vegetation growth and gross primary production. This has been fixed in version 2 of the record.

Finding novel vulnerabilities of hypomorphic BRCA1 alleles

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Synthetic lethality screens performed to identify novel vulnerabilities often model complete gene loss, thereby overlooking patient‐derived hypomorphic mutations. In this study, we have performed genome‐wide CRISPR screens on BRCA1 hypomorphic mutations, showing BRCA1I26A behaves like wild‐type, while BRCA1R1699Q mimics deficiency. Furthermore, we have

Variance-based sensitivity analysis of BIOME-BGC for gross and net primary production

open access: yes, 2016
This research conducted variance-based sensitivity analysis (VBSA) of the process-based simulator BIOME-BGC for gross and net primary production (GPP and NPP) output in a Douglas-fir stand at the Speulderbos forest site, The Netherlands. Such an analysis

Suppression of lung adenocarcinoma migration through organelle alkalization by human lactoferrin – albumin fusion

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This paper reveals how human lactoferrin–albumin fusion (hLF‐HSA) potently suppresses lung adenocarcinoma cell migration. hLF‐HSA upregulates NHE7, leading to Golgi alkalization, disruption of the Golgi secretome, downregulation of MMP1, and reversal of EMT. These findings suggest a novel Golgi‐targeting strategy to suppress cancer cell migration.

Seasonal and Inter-Annual Variations in Carbon Dioxide Exchange over an Alpine Grassland in the Eastern Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2016
This work analyzed carbon dioxide exchange and its controlling factors over an alpine grassland on the eastern Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau. The main results show that air temperature and photosynthetically active radiation are two dominant factors ...

Continued Increases of Gross Primary Production in Urban Areas during 2000–2016

open access: yesJournal of Remote Sensing, 2022
Urbanization affects vegetation within city administrative boundary and nearby rural areas. Gross primary production (GPP) of vegetation in global urban areas is one of important metrics for assessing the impacts of urbanization on terrestrial ecosystems.
