Determining Terrestrial Ecosystem Gross Primary Productivity from PACE OCI
Data from the Plankton, Aerosol, Cloud, ocean Ecosystem (PACE) Ocean Color Instrument (OCI) were used to develop and test algorithms for remotely retrieving terrestrial ecosystem productivity. Gross primary productivity (GPP) was calculated from CO2 flux for 47 eddy covariance flux towers representing vegetation and climatic variability across the USA.
