Comparative Analysis of Indonesia Gross Split PSC with Fiscal Terms of Several Southeast Asian Countries

open access: yesJournal of Earth Energy Science, Engineering, and Technology, 2020
The implementation of the Gross Split PSC in the upstream oil and gas industry in Indonesia has been running since 2017 with the hope of being able to accelerate the decision-making process and increase attractiveness for oil and gas investors. This study is to analyze the implementation of Indonesia Gross Split PSC compared to other fiscal terms in ...

Impact of Asymptomatic Intracranial Hemorrhage on Outcome After Endovascular Stroke Treatment

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Endovascular treatment (EVT) achieves high rates of recanalization in acute large‐vessel occlusion (LVO) stroke, but functional recovery remains heterogeneous. While symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage (sICH) has been well studied, the prognostic impact of asymptomatic intracranial hemorrhage (aICH) after EVT is less certain ...

CUDA programs for solving the time-dependent dipolar Gross-Pitaevskii equation in an anisotropic trap

open access: yes, 2016
In this paper we present new versions of previously published numerical programs for solving the dipolar Gross-Pitaevskii (GP) equation including the contact interaction in two and three spatial dimensions in imaginary and in real time, yielding both ...

Normal‐Appearing White Matter Injury Mediates Chronic Deep Venous Hypoxia and Disease Progression in Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To explore how cerebral hypoxia and Normal‐Appearing White Matter (NAWM) integrity affect MS lesion burden and clinical course. Methods Seventy‐nine MS patients, including 13 clinically isolated syndrome (CIS) patients and 66 relapsing–remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) patients, and 44 healthy controls (HCs) were recruited from ...

Distributional National Accounts (DINA) with Household Survey Data: Methodology and Results for European Countries [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
The paper builds Distributional National Accounts (DINA) using household survey data. We present a transparent and reproducible methodology to construct DINA whenever administrative tax data are not available for research and apply it to various European

A Depolarizing Leak in Sodium Bicarbonate Cotransporter NBCe1 Causes Brain Edema

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives SLC4A4 encodes electrogenic sodium bicarbonate cotransporter NBCe1, prominently expressed in kidney and brain. Recessive loss‐of‐function variants in SLC4A4 cause proximal renal tubular acidosis, no brain edema. In the brain, NBCe1 is expressed by astrocytes, where it regulates pH and mediates astrocyte volume changes.

Yield of sugarcane submitted to nitrogen fertilization and water depths by subsurface drip irrigation

open access: yesRevista Brasileira de Engenharia Agrícola e Ambiental
Water is limiting for growth and essential for photosynthesis. Crop yield depends on the available amount of this resource and on the efficiency of its use by the plant.

Collisions of anisotropic two-dimensional bright solitons in dipolar Bose-Einstein condensates

open access: yes, 2012
We investigate the coherent collision of anisotropic quasi-two-dimensional bright solitons in dipolar Bose-Einstein condensates. Our analysis is based on the extended Gross-Pitaevskii equation, and we use the split-operator method for the grid ...

Financial Distress and Its Determinants in Rheumatoid Arthritis

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective To quantify the degree of financial distress and identify its determinants in adults with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) given the frequent prolonged use of expensive disease‐modifying therapies. Methods We identified adults enrolled in the FORWARD databank with either RA or noninflammatory musculoskeletal disease (NIMSKD) completing the ...

Effect of gel-biofertilizers and potassium on growth, yield and economics of aerobic rice

open access: yesEnvironment Conservation Journal
Water scarcity and global food requirements are two major issues currently that need to be dealt with as soon as possible. Aerobic rice, grown without submergence and requiring occasional irrigation, offers a sustainable solution to water scarcity ...
