Physical Intelligence in Small‐Scale Robots and Machines
“Physical intelligence” (PI) empowers biological organisms and artificial machines, especially at the small scales, to perceive, adapt, and even reshape their complex, dynamic, and unstructured operation environments. This review summarizes recent milestones and future directions of PI in small‐scale robots and machines.

Adatok a Baláta-tói természetvédelmi terület futóbogárfaunájához (Coleoptera: Carabidae) = Carabidae Data on the Baláta-to Nature Protection Area in Hungary [PDF]
In the following paper data is given about 45 speci- es of ground beetles collected - mostly - with pit-fall traps in the Hungarian Baláta-Lake Nature Reserve Area, in three plant associations (Quercetum; Alnetum; Salicetum). The highest diversity of

Crawling Water Beetles of Wisconsin (Coleoptera: Haliplidae) [PDF]
(excerpt) Haliplidae are smail water beetles, less than 5 mm long, that frequently occur in abundance in ponds, marshes, sloughs, and swamps and also along the margins of slow streams or lakes where there is not severe wave action.

Adaptive Twisting Metamaterials
This work introduces torque‐controlled twisting metamaterials as a transformative platform for adaptive crashworthiness. By combining multiscale predictive modeling with experimental validation on additively manufactured gyroids, it demonstrates tunable stiffness, collapse stress, and energy absorption.

Effects of urbanisation and landscape heterogeneity mediated by feeding guild and body size in a community of coprophilous beetles [PDF]
Although the impacts of urbanisation on biodiversity are well studied, the precise response of some invertebrate groups remains poorly known. Dung-associated beetles are little studied in an urban context, especially in temperate regions.

Rainbow Photonic Crystals: Self‐Assembly of Carbohydrate Bottlebrushes Block Copolymers
Full‐color reflective 1D photonic crystals, capable of a tunable, responsive, and reversible color with high repeatability, are created from the self‐assembly of carbohydrate‐based brush block copolymers (BR01‐04). Abstract Tunable and responsive photonic crystal systems are the subject of great research interest owing to their ability to actively ...
