Pre‐Curved Everting Robots With Embedded Steering Intelligence Fabricated by CO2 Laser Welding
Design and experimental demonstration of a laser welded growing robot for anatomically guided navigation. The robot follows an aortic arch phantom entering the branchiocephalic branch through steering by design. The figure shows the physical phantom setup, CAD defined weld geometry and full robot eversion.

Abstract The ray‐finned fishes include one out of every two species of living vertebrates on Earth and have an abundant fossil record stretching 380 million years into the past. The division of systematic knowledge of ray‐finned fishes between paleontologists working on extinct animals and neontologists studying extant species has obscured the ...

Radar rainfall image repair techniques [PDF]
There are various quality problems associated with radar rainfall data viewed in images that include ground clutter, beam blocking and anomalous propagation, to name a few. To obtain the best rainfall estimate possible, techniques for removing ground

ABSTRACT Medieval and early modern drowned villages in the intertidal zone of the Scheldt estuary (the Netherlands) constitute intriguing yet largely understudied components of north‐western Europe's underwater cultural heritage. Despite their high archaeological potential as time capsules of past settlement landscapes, research has remained limited ...

Digital Beamforming and Traffic Monitoring Using the new FSAR System of DLR
In November 2006 the first X-band test flight of DLR’s new FSAR system has been performed successfully and in February 2007 the first flight campaign has been conducted for acquiring experimental multi-channel data of controlled ground moving targets. In

Spectral diversity for ground clutter mitigation in forward-looking GPR
© 2016 SPIE. The operational constraints associated with a forward-looking ground-penetrating radar (GPR) limit the ability of the radar to resolve targets in the dimension orthogonal to the ground.

Moving beyond neurophobia to cultivate the neuroquisitive learner
Abstract “Neurophobia,” a pervasive fear of the neurological sciences, poses a significant barrier in medical education, affecting learners and physicians worldwide. Its consequences are far‐reaching, contributing to a limited neurology workforce and diminished confidence among non‐specialists in managing neurological conditions.
