A Clutter Suppression Approach for SAR-GMTI Based on Dual-channel DPCA

open access: yes, 2014
The Displaced Phase Center Antenna (DPCA) technology, a particular form of Space Time Adaptive Processing (STAP), has been widely used in Synthetic Aperture Radar Ground Moving Target Indication (SAR-GMTI).

Understanding Online Freelancers' Labour Agency at the Intersection of Platforms, Wider Labour Markets, and Households: Evidence From the Philippines

open access: yesNew Technology, Work and Employment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Research on the labour agency of remote‐based online freelancers has often struggled to account for the interplay between platform dynamics, broader labour market conditions, and gendered household responsibilities. This article addresses this gap by proposing an integrated analytical framework that synthesises these dimensions to examine how ...

What's Wrong With Self‐Censorship?

open access: yesPhilosophy &Public Affairs, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In recent years, discourse on freedom of speech has shifted away from exclusive focus on the state and towards societal threats to speech. Amidst this change, the notion of “self‐censorship” has gained increased prominence. Not only has self‐censorship emerged as a common reference point, several recent studies identify it as embodying a ...

Clutter properties for STAP with smooth and faceted cylindrical conformal antennas

open access: yes, 2010
Conformal antennas, which assume the shape of the platform, have several advantages; like reduced weight and space, aerodynamic design and increased field of view.

How Democratic Backsliding Shapes the Entry, Non‐Entry, and Waiting of Potential Civil Servants

open access: yesPublic Administration Review, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Democratic backsliding is coupled with politicians' undermining of the civil service's professionalism and commitment to liberal democratic values. Existing research has examined civil servants' responses. Nonetheless, politicians' attacks on democracy and the bureaucracy also affect potential recruits' career choices.

Ultra‐Low‐Complexity Doppler‐Spread Clutter Suppression in Ground‐Based Passive Radar

open access: yesElectronics Letters
ABSTRACT In ground‐based passive radar, the surveillance channel is mainly affected by zero‐Doppler clutter, while Doppler‐spread clutter caused by vegetation motion or structural vibration is also unavoidable in practice. Although the Doppler‐extended extensive cancellation algorithm (ECA) can effectively suppress both types of ...

Suppression of Clutter in Multichannel SAR GMTI

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper, the results of moving-target detection in multichannel UHF-band synthetic aperture radar (SAR) dataare shown. The clutter suppression is done using finite-impulse response (FIR) filtering of multichannel SAR in combination with a two-stage

Self‐Similar Blowup for the Cubic Schrödinger Equation

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, Volume 79, Issue 8, Page 1831-1918, August 2026.
ABSTRACT We give a rigorous proof for the existence of a finite‐energy, self‐similar solution to the focusing cubic Schrödinger equation in three spatial dimensions. The proof is computer‐assisted and relies on a fixed point argument that shows the existence of a solution in the vicinity of a numerically constructed approximation.

The Turbulence Properties of 150‐km Echoes in the Lower Ionosphere

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 12, 28 June 2026.
Abstract The valley region ionosphere spans from approximately 120–200 km in altitude, and hosts a wide range of plasma, neutral, and solar interactions that create and maintain the ionosphere. In this region a ubiquitous and mysterious source of radar echoes called “150‐km echoes” has been observed since the 1960s.
