Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Multi-Epoch Robust DI-Optimal Ground Control Point Network Design for Georeferencing of Google Earth Imagery

open access: yesGeomatics
Ground Control Points (GCPs) are essential for accurate georeferencing of optical imagery; however, their selection is often heuristic and affected by temporal changes in image geometry.

Ground cover management strategies in an Apulian oil-producing olive grove: agronomic and ecological assessment proposals

open access: yesAdvances in Horticultural Science, 2013
adequate positive effects on the agro-environment with only marginal negative competitive effects on the olive plants. This paper reports the results of an experiment carried out in an irrigated olive orchard (cv.

Ground vibration measurements with special reference to pile driving [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
There has been increased concern in recent years over the level and nature of the ground vibrations. The importance of such vibration has increased rapidly due to developments in construction in urban areas, where the effects of ground borne vibration on

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Corridor Mapping of Sandy Coastal Foredunes with UAS Photogrammetry and Mobile Laser Scanning

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2019
Recurrent monitoring of sandy beaches and of the dunes behind them is needed to improve the scientific knowledge on their dynamics as well as to develop sustainable management practices of those valuable landforms.

The Coordination and Design of Point-Nonpoint Trading Programs and Agri-Environmental Policies [PDF]

open access: yes
Agricultural agencies have long offered agri-environmental payments that are inadequate to achieve water quality goals, and many state water quality agencies are considering point-nonpoint trading to achieve the needed pollution reductions. This analysis

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Generalized point wise min-norm control based on Control Lyapunov Functions

open access: yes, 2007
A new nonlinear controller design method based on Control Lyapunov Functions, called generalized point wise min-norm controller, is presented in this paper, which is a generalized version of Freeman's point wise min-norm controller in 1996.
