Influence of the number of ground control points on the accuracy of the photogrammetric block

open access: yes, 2022

UAV aerial triangulation: Point error distributions and the influencing mechanisms of ground control points on its accuracy

open access: yes, 2023
Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have been an important means of monitoring the surface deformation in mining areas since they are flexible, are insensitive to weather, and can swiftly acquire images of target areas.

Liver organoids: modelling complexity in homeostasis and disease

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Studying liver in vitro has been challenging because simple 2D cell cultures fail to capture liver's cellular and architectural complexity. To bridge this gap, scientists increasingly use organoids, 3D liver models which better mimic liver composition and function. This review examines recent advances in liver organoid complexity and realism, discusses

POS Assisted Aerial Triangulation Method for Single Flight Strip Without Ground Control Points

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing
In scenarios such as road detection and emergency mapping, single strip photogrammetry without ground control points (GCPs) can effectively improve data acquisition efficiency.

Golgi enzymes are retrieved from the plasma membrane to the trans‐Golgi network

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Golgi enzymes are traditionally considered resident proteins retained within the Golgi apparatus. Here, we demonstrate that a subset transiently reaches the cell surface and is subsequently retrieved to the trans‐Golgi network via retrograde transport. Using a nanobody‐based toolkit, we uncover a dynamic trafficking cycle of several Golgi enzymes.

Strain typing to highlight particular points of interest in the control of Staphylococcus aureus mastitis

open access: yes, 2013
As an aid to evaluate an existing Staphylococcus aureus control programme implemented on an organic dairy farm, staphylococci isolates from bovine teat skin, milking gloves, milking equipment and bovine milk were identified to species level using the ...

Synergistic perspectives—How single‐molecule biophysics complement biochemical understanding

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this review, we discuss how ensemble biochemistry and single‐molecule approaches are complementary, outline commonly used single‐molecule techniques, and illustrate their relevance through two representative case studies: chromatin organization by SMC complexes and pathway choice during DNA double‐strand break repair.

Functional comparison of EncB and EncC cargo proteins in iron storage within the Myxococcus xanthus encapsulin

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Encapsulins are protein nanocompartments that play an important role in iron storage. In the Myxococcus xanthus encapsulin system, two cargo proteins called EncB and EncC contribute to iron mineralization. Here, we show that EncB and EncC generate iron‐containing minerals with distinct chemical compositions, suggesting that the composition of stored ...
