The DEM Registration Method Without Ground Control Points for Landslide Deformation Monitoring

open access: yesRemote Sensing
Landslides are geological disasters that are harmful to both humans and society. Digital elevation model (DEM) time series data are usually used to monitor dynamic changes or surface damage.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

High-Precision Geolocation of SAR Images via Multi-View Fusion Without Ground Control Points

open access: yesRemote Sensing
Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images generated via range-Doppler (RD) model-based geometric correction often suffer from non-negligible systematic geolocation errors due to cumulative impacts of platform positioning inaccuracies, payload time ...

Structural instability impairs function of the UDP‐xylose synthase 1 Ile181Asn variant associated with short‐stature genetic syndrome in humans

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

A High-Precision Positioning Method Without Ground Control Points for Mosaic Aerial Survey Camera [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences
Mosaic aerial survey cameras facilitate large-format imaging by integrating multiple lenses and sensors. Nevertheless, the inherent complexity of their structural design gives rise to collimation axis eccentricity errors between the Position and ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Mapping experiment with space station [PDF]

open access: yes
Mapping of the Earth from space stations can be approached in two areas. One is to collect gravity data for defining topographic datum using Earth's gravity field in terms of spherical harmonics.
