Efgartigimod Combined With Steroid Treatment for HAM/TSP: A Case Report

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT HTLV‐1‐associated myelopathy/tropical spastic paraparesis (HAM/TSP) is a progressive neurological disorder with limited treatment options. We report a 54‐year‐old female with decade‐long, progressive HAM/TSP, previously refractory to rituximab, who experienced worsening spastic paraparesis and neurogenic bladder dysfunction.

Bilateral versus Unilateral Training With Rhythmic Auditory Cueing in Stroke Rehabilitation: Effects on Upper Limb Function and Interhemispheric Inhibition

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Stroke is a leading cause of long‐term disability in adults, with upper limb hemiparesis being a common impairment. Traditional training is mostly aimed at paralyzed limbs, but the effect of bilateral training is still unclear.

Ground-Motion Intensity Measures for the Seismic Response of the Roof-Isolated Large-Span Structure

open access: yesBuildings
Ground-motion intensity measures (IMs), which quantify and describe the characteristics of earthquake ground motion, are of utmost importance in the assessment of seismic risk and the design of resilient structures with large spans.

Understanding Contributors of Resilience in Youth With Childhood‐Onset Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Through a Socioecological Lens: A Mixed‐Methods Study

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective This study aimed to identify themes contributing to resilience in childhood‐onset systemic lupus erythematosus (cSLE), distinguish between profiles of resilience, and examine how they relate to underlying themes and patient characteristics. Methods We conducted a mixed‐methods study of 21 patients with cSLE aged 11 to 19 years at a Canadian ...

Moderators and Mediators of Pain and Function Outcomes in a New Service Delivery Model for Management of Knee Osteoarthritis in Primary Care: Secondary Exploratory Analysis of a Randomized Controlled Trial

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Our objective was to explore moderators and mediators influenced changes in pain and function in people with knee osteoarthritis (OA) receiving a new model of primary care service delivery (Optimizing Primary Care Management of Knee Osteoarthritis [PARTNER]), at 12 months (ACTRN: 12617001595303).

Compatible Ground Motion Models for South Korea Using Moderate Earthquakes

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Due to a heightened interest in the field of earthquakes after two moderately sized earthquakes occurred in Gyeongju and Pohang, this study explores which ground motion prediction equations are compatible for the South Korea region.

A comparative study of a stochastic and deterministic simulation of strong ground motion applied to the Kozani-Grevena (NW Greece) 1995 sequence

open access: yesAnnals of Geophysics, 2000
We present the results of a comparative study of two intrinsically different methodologies, a stochastic one and a deterministic one, performed to simulate strong ground motion in the Kozani area (NW Greece).
