Free Field Ground Vibration Due to Ground Improvement Induced Vibration
2021The present study focused on measuring free-field vibration induced by ground improvement work. Ground improvement work at the Indian Institute of Technology Patna campus was performed using the vibroflotation technique. Two different types of sensors were used to measure this ground accelerations and peak particle velocity (PPV). The minimum source to

SIMULATION OF THE GROUND VIBRATION INDUCED BY TRAIN
19th EEGS Symposium on the Application of Geophysics to Engineering and Environmental Problems, 2006The purpose of this study is to make clear the mechanism of the ground vibration induced by trains and to develop a numerical simulation tool which can quantitatively evaluate the effect of wave filtering works. A 3D viscoelastic finite-difference method is used to study the mechanism of the ground vibration induced by train. At first, the special case

The Vibrational Ground State of 12CHD3
Journal of Molecular Spectroscopy, 1993Abstract Within the scope of a general tensorial study of the 1000 and 2000 cm −1 polyads of CHD 3 , we have revisited the ground state of this molecule. Infrared ground state combination differences (GSCD) were calculated from 1746 transitions assigned in the ν 3 /ν 5 /ν 6 triad of CHD 3 . A set of 10 ground state parameters has been fitted to 613

One of the basic problems when designing a new production facility or planning an expansion of a current facility, is the lack of a serious attempt to consider the detrimental effects of natural and/or induced ground vibrations. These unnoticed disturbances, which are always present, usually become apparent when the facility is completed and in active ...

Propagation of ground vibration: A review
Journal of Sound and Vibration, 1976A review of the current state of the art of ground vibration propagation is presented herein. First the theoretical models of vibration attenuation are reviewed and then measurement techniques are discussed. Finally, measurement and theory are combined into predictive models, whose validity is discussed.

Many attempts have been made to quantify the propagation and interaction of elastic waves. Woods [1], for example, examined the role of trenches in isolating a building from vibration. Dally and Lewis [2] studied the effects of a slit on a propagating Rayleigh wave through the use of dynamic photoelasticity.

Measurement of ground vibration is important for checking of amplitudes of predicted ground motion and for confirmation of efficiency of control measures of ground vibration. The properties of measuring instruments used can affect the results of measurements and therefore the user need to know how to select these properties in order to obtain correct ...

The Helicopter in Free Ground Vibration
Aircraft Engineering and Aerospace Technology, 1952A theoretical approach is presented with the object of determining the natural frequencies and hub characteristics of a single‐rotor helicopter in free ground vibration for use in the analysis of self‐excited mechanical oscillations of hinged rotor blades. The method is intended to obviate the experimental determination of these parameters, a technique
