In this paper we introduce a test for confluence on ground terms. This test allows us to prove the ground confluence of term rewriting systems where the Knuth-Bendix Algorithm does not terminate. Ground Confluence of term rewriting systems is sufficient, if one is interested in congruences on ground terms.

Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Incompatibilism and the Principle of Sufficient Reason in Kant’s 'Nova Dilucidatio'
The consensus is that in his 1755 'Nova Dilucidatio', Kant endorsed broadly Leibnizian compatibilism, then switched to a strongly incompatibilist position in the early 1760s.

Modelling stem cell differentiation related processes—A practical overview for biologists
Stem cell differentiation is complex and difficult to control experimentally. This review introduces suitable computational modelling approaches that can support stem cell research, from mechanistic ODE and abstract models to multiscale and deep learning methods.

Microbiome‐blood–brain barrier interactions in aging — mechanisms and therapeutic potential
Aging reshapes the gut microbiome (↓SCFA‐producing commensals; ↑pro‐inflammatory outputs), shifting circulating metabolites (↓SCFAs; ↑LPS, ↑TMAO, ↑PAA) that act at the BBB to increase nonspecific transcytosis, alter transport, and promote astrocyte reactivity, heightening brain vulnerability.

Grounding is a therapeutic technique that involves doing activities that “ground” or electrically reconnect us to the earth. The physiological effects of grounding have been reported from a variety of perspectives such as sleep or pain. However, its anti-

Golgi enzymes are retrieved from the plasma membrane to the trans‐Golgi network
Golgi enzymes are traditionally considered resident proteins retained within the Golgi apparatus. Here, we demonstrate that a subset transiently reaches the cell surface and is subsequently retrieved to the trans‐Golgi network via retrograde transport. Using a nanobody‐based toolkit, we uncover a dynamic trafficking cycle of several Golgi enzymes.

Lightning‐Induced Overvoltage on Overhead Distribution Line via Hybrid MTL‐PEEC Method
Transient simulation are more economical and adaptable means of studying lightning overvoltage for overhead distribution line system compared to experiments. A hybrid multi‐transmission‐line (MTL)‐partial element equivalent circuit (PEEC) method proposed

Death Ground is a competitive musical installation-game for two players. The work is designed to provide the framework for the players/participants in which to perform game-mediated musical gestures against each-other. The main mechanic involves destroying the other player's avatar by outmaneuvering and using audio weapons and improvised musical ...

Circulating microRNAs as biomarkers of cachexia and sex‐specific cancer in senior dogs. In 25 client‐owned dogs, four circulating miRNAs (miR‐15a, miR‐15b, miR‐16, miR‐140) were downregulated in cachexia, with miR‐16 the strongest individual biomarker (AUC = 0.899).
