Effect of grid spacing on the inductance of ground grids
IEEE 1991 International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility, 2002The effect of grid spacing on the inductances of various paths on a printed circuit board (PCB) is investigated numerically. Partial inductances of the various segments of the paths and the ground grid are incorporated into a lumped model which is solved for the currents using the mesh current method.

DETERMINATION OF THE MUTUAL GROUND RESISTANCE OF ADJACENT GROUNDING GRIDS
Journal of Energy - Energija, 2022The article discusses the determination of the mutual ground resistance of two adjacent metallically connected grounding grids. For this purpose, an original analytical expression for calculating the corresponding mutual ground resistance of two adjacent grounding grids has been developed.

The research of fault diagnosis in grounding grids
International Conference on Sustainable Power Generation and Supply (SUPERGEN 2012), 2011According to the theory analysis and research, the fault equation to find out the broken and corroded conductors of the grounding grid is built by the sensibility analysis method. And the fault equation is solved by applying the optimization theory and the lowest energy principle. The increased value of each branch resistance is calculated according to

Impulse Impedance of Grounding Grids
IEEE Transactions on Power Apparatus and Systems, 1980A method and an empirical formula to calculate the inductance of square grounding grids fed at either centre or one of the corners is presented. Empirical formulae for the effective area and impulse coefficient for centre fed and corner fel square grids are determinel.

Analysis of grounding grid of substation
2017 International Conference on Circuit ,Power and Computing Technologies (ICCPCT), 2017The grounding system requires for maintaining safety of operators and apparatus and ensuring reliable working of power network. A grounding of substation connects electrical apparatus and the metallic structures to the common ground. Grounding system of substation should be such that it should limit the potential gradients with in and around substation

Nonuniform Semi-Infinite Grounded Grids
SIAM Journal on Mathematical Analysis, 1982Semi-infinite resistive grounded grids are countably infinite electrical networks that arise from the discretization of the partial differential equation governing the minority-carrier density in a doped semiconductor. If the doping varies with depth from the surface of the semiconductor, the grid’s resistances also vary with distance from the inputs ...

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 2006
In this paper, we present how the finite element method (FEM) can be utilized to analyze the influence of an additional substance in the trenches surrounding the grounding grid's conductors on the grounding grid's performance. For this purpose, we modified the preliminarily existent FIELD_GS program code in such a way that the additional substance in ...

A Detection Radar for Grounding Grid
2018 2nd IEEE Advanced Information Management,Communicates,Electronic and Automation Control Conference (IMCEC), 2018G281 grid is the key infrastructure to ensure that the safety and stable operation of the power grid and the personal safety. Buried in the ground, restricted by the surface buildings, the grounding grid is difficult to detect and maintain. In order to overcome the difficulty of high-voltage transmission and detection in substation grounding grid, a ...

Analysis of the Ground Impedance of Ground Grids Combined with the Carbon Ground Electrodes
Journal of the Korean Institute of Illuminating and Electrical Installation Engineers, 2013This paper deals with the frequency-dependent ground impedance of ground grids combined with the carbon ground electrodes. Ground grids are generally valid for multipurpose grounding systems as well as lightning protection systems. The carbon ground electrodes may be supplementarily used to reduce the high frequency ground impedance and to improve the ...
