Photonic Engineering Enables All‐Passive Upconversion Imaging with Low‐Intensity Near‐Infrared Light
A passive upconversion imaging system enables the observation of scenes illuminated by low‐intensity incoherent near‐infrared light from 750 to 930 nm, by converting it into the visible without the use of external power. The upconverter is enabled by triplet–triplet annihilation in a bulk heterojunction, with absorption enhanced by plasmonic resonators

GeAl2‐2xFe2xO3(OH)4 Nanotubes: New Electrocatalyst for Oxygen Evolution Reaction
Fe‐doped imogolite nanotubes are synthesized via a one‐step hydrothermal method with varying Fe substitution ratios x. Structural and spectroscopic analyses confirm homogeneous Fe incorporation while preserving tubular shape. Optimal doping at x = 0.05 enhances optical absorption, narrows band gap, reduces charge transfer resistance, and significantly ...

Peptide Sequencing With Single Acid Resolution Using a Sub‐Nanometer Diameter Pore
To sequence a single molecule of Aβ1−42–sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), the aggregate is forced through a sub‐nanopore 0.4 nm in diameter spanning a 4.0 nm thick membrane. The figure is a visual molecular dynamics (VMD) snapshot depicting the translocation of Aβ1−42–SDS through the pore; only the peptide, the SDS, the Na+ (yellow/green) and Cl− (cyan ...

Grounding grid design in electrical power substation using optimization methods
A good substation grounding grid is essential to ensure safety of personnel working in the substation, and also to protect the equipment to ensure continuous operation of the substation. The design of the substation grounding grid is often carried out to

A multivalent antiviral platform based on honeycomb‐shaped DNA nanostructures (HC–Urumin) is developed to enhance the potency and breadth of the host defense peptide Urumin. Through spatially patterned trimeric presentation, HC–Urumin disrupts influenza A virus entry, improves cell viability, and reduces disease severity in vivo‐offering a modular and ...

Designing of cost minimum substation grounding grid system using DE, SCA, and HDESCA techniques
This study presents three optimisation techniques to obtain optimum design of grounding grid with equal and unequal spacing between grid conductors. Different algorithms such as differential evolution (DE), sine–cosine algorithm (SCA) and hybrid DE SCA ...

Apatite occurs in many forms in nature, e.g. in teeth and geological minerals. Internally, biological apatite contains nanocrystals that are also found in synthetically prepared calcium phosphate nanoparticles which are used in biomedicine, e.g. for gene and drug delivery and for bone regeneration. Abstract Calcium phosphate is the inorganic component (
