The RBF-FDTD Method for Computing Lightning-Transient Voltages on Grounding Systems
This paper introduces an advanced application of the Radial Basis Function-Finite-Difference Time-Domain (RBF-FDTD) method, as proposed in Vu et al., for computing lightning-induced transient voltages in grounding systems.

Thermomechanical fatigue tests of laser beam powder bed fusion (PBF‐LB) Inconel 718 show that the additively manufactured material reaches almost the lifetimes of conventionally‐rolled material under no‐dwell conditions. Introducing dwell times at the maximum temperature markedly reduces the lifetimes due to pronounced grain boundary sliding associated

A Knowledge‐Based Approach for Understanding and Managing Additive Manufacturing Data
Additive manufacturing processes generate a large amount of data. Effectively managing, understanding, and retrieving information from this data remains a major challenge. Therefore, we propose an ontology‐based approach to integrate heterogeneous data, enable semantic queries, and support decision‐making.

Copper‐based composites enhanced with carbon feature convenient mechanical properties and favorable electric conductivity. Processing via deformation and thermomechanical treatments can introduce advantageous microstructures further enhancing their performance. Herein, copper–graphene powder‐based composites are directly consolidated via rotary swaging

Building machine‐readable vocabularies for materials science is slow, expert‐driven work. This study benchmarks 13 large language models on two of its first steps: finding candidate terms in engineering articles and deciding where they belong in a class hierarchy.

Analysis of the grounding avoidance behavior of a ro-pax ship in the gulf of finland using big data
Waterway traffic complexity is one of the main reasons behind grounding accidents. It can be estimated qualitatively through expert judgment or quantitatively through the analysis of traffic data.

We develop a data‐driven method to derive the mathematical expressions of the Flory–Huggins interaction parameter χ for the swelling behavior of temperature–responsive hydrogels. Starting from initial assumptions of χ, our workflow combines Bayesian optimization, Flory–Rehner theory, and symbolic regression to generate candidate χ expressions.
