Abstract Children's relationship with time in preschools is an under‐researched area. Young children rarely know how to measure time using a clock, but their experiences of time may contribute to understanding children's well‐being and debates about quality in preschools.

A Remote Sensing Model to Determine the Critical Groundwater Depth for Soil Salinization
【Objective】 Evaporation of groundwater via capillary rise could result in solute accumulation in the proximity of the soil surface, which increases steadily when the groundwater table rises above a critical depth.

Quantifying uncertainty in groundwater depth from sparse well data in the California Central Valley
Groundwater is a critical freshwater resource for irrigation in the California Central Valley, particularly in times of drought. Groundwater depth has dropped rapidly in California’s overdrafted basins, but irregular monitoring across space and time ...

Groundwater depth alters soil nutrient concentrations in different environments in an arid desert
Soil nutrients are vital for plant growth and survival and present a crucial role in terrestrial function and productivity. However, little is known about the effect mechanism of groundwater table on soil nutrients in an arid desert ecological system ...

On the extinction depth of freezing-induced groundwater migration
Although water table recessions associated with seasonal freezing have been widely reported, the conditions that groundwater could respond to seasonal freezing are poorly known. Based on 30 records of winter-time water table recessions reported in the literature, we find the mean water table recession increases from sand to loam to silt to clay.
