Groundwater modeling of Musi basin Hyderabad, India: a case study
In general, groundwater flow and transport models are being applied to investigate a wide variety of hydrogeological conditions besides to calculate the rate and direction of movement of groundwater through aquifers and confining units in the subsurface.

Developing a cost-effective emulator for groundwater flow modeling using deep neural operators [PDF]
Current groundwater models face a significant challenge in their implementation due to heavy computational burdens. To overcome this, our work proposes a cost-effective emulator that efficiently and accurately forecasts the impact of abstraction in an aquifer.

Groundwater flow and volcanic unrest [PDF]
Hydrology around active volcanoes is strongly controlled by the interaction between groundwater, and the fluids, dissolved elements and heat associated with magmatic intrusion. The chemical and mechanical processes associated with magmatic unrest can result in observable changes in the hydrothermal system.

Arctic Spring Systems Driven by Permafrost Aggradation
Groundwater springs in permafrost regions provide pathways for solutes and dissolved gases to escape from sub‐permafrost groundwater systems, which otherwise are completely isolated from the surface environment and atmosphere.

Impacts of geopolitics and policy on Latin American biodiversity and water resources
Abstract Latin America is a major agricultural producer with important natural resources. Efforts have been made to protect sensitive areas but are hindered by agricultural trade disruptions outside the control of individual countries due to globally integrated crop markets.

Groundwater surface mapping informs sources of catchment baseflow [PDF]
Groundwater discharge is a major contributor to stream baseflow. Quantifying this flux is difficult, despite its considerable importance to water resource management and evaluation of the effects of groundwater extraction on streamflow.

Simulating the effects of a beaver dam on regional groundwater flow through a wetland
Study Focus: This research examines a wetland environment before and after the construction of a beaver dam to determine the hydrologic impacts on regional groundwater flow and quantify changes to the capture zone of a wetland pond.

Combining the Morris Method and Multiple Error Metrics to Assess Aquifer Characteristics and Recharge in the Lower Ticino Basin, in Italy [PDF]
Groundwater flow model accuracy is often limited by the uncertainty in model parameters that characterize aquifer properties and aquifer recharge. Aquifer properties such as hydraulic conductivity can have an uncertainty spanning orders of magnitude. Meanwhile, parameters used to configure model boundary conditions can introduce additional uncertainty.

ABSTRACT The cocoa‐chocolate value chain faces significant environmental and social challenges, driving firms to adopt sustainability strategies ranging from individual practices to third‐party certifications. This study investigates the factors associated with these strategies by analyzing 304 cocoa‐chocolate companies using firm‐level data from the ...
