Methodological Frameworks for Computational Electrocatalysis: From Theory to Practice

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
Computational modeling is widely used to investigate electrocatalytic reactions, yet accurately describing electrochemical interfaces remains challenging. This review outlines theoretical and computational strategies, based on density functional theory, to model reaction thermodynamics, solvation effects, applied bias, and kinetics.

Assessing Capability Complexity Using Enterprise Architecture Framework

open access: yesSystems Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study proposes a structured and quantitative methodology to evaluate the holistic complexity of system‐of‐systems (SoSs), employing the Zachman Architecture Framework (ZAF) as its foundational analytical tool. A five‐phase analytical procedure is developed and empirically validated, encompassing: (1) refinement of complexity measures, (2)

Preservice Teachers' Professional Development for Implementing Differentiated Instruction in Science Education: An Embedded Case Study

open access: yesJournal of Research in Science Teaching, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The current study explored how a professional development program for differentiated instruction in science education supported change in preservice teachers, following the Interconnected Model of Professional Growth by Clarke and Hollingsworth. Among eight preservice teachers, a self‐report questionnaire (pre and post) and reflective logbooks

Enhancing generalized spectral clustering with embedding Laplacian graph regularization

open access: yesCAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology, EarlyView.
Abstract An enhanced generalised spectral clustering framework that addresses the limitations of existing methods by incorporating the Laplacian graph and group effect into a regularisation term is presented. By doing so, the framework significantly enhances discrimination power and proves highly effective in handling noisy data.

Sequential Quantum Measurements and the Instrumental Group Algebra

open access: yesQuantum Reports
Many of the most fundamental observables—position, momentum, phase point, and spin direction—cannot be measured by an instrument that obeys the orthogonal projection postulate.

Optimising Wave Energy Plant Location Through Neutrosophic Multi‐Criteria Group Decision‐Making

open access: yesCAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The global shift towards sustainable energy has intensified research into renewable sources, particularly wave energy. Pakistan, with its long coastline, holds significant potential for wave energy development. However, identifying optimal locations for wave energy plants involves evaluating complex, multi‐faceted criteria.

Distributed Formation Control for Heterogeneous Robot Systems Based on Competitive Mechanism

open access: yesCAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper presents an adaptive formation control method for a heterogeneous robot swarm, utilising a multilevel formation task tree to model various types of formation tasks and a single‐state distributed k‐winner‐take‐all (S‐DKWTA) algorithm to address the MRTA problem.

A Universal Meta‐Heuristic Framework for Influence Maximisation in Hypergraphs

open access: yesCAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Influence maximisation (IM) aims to select a small number of nodes that are able to maximise their influence in a network and covers a wide range of applications. Despite numerous attempts to provide effective solutions in simple networks, higher‐order interactions between entities in various real‐world systems are usually not taken into ...

Algebraic Groups

open access: yes, 2007
The workshop dealt with a broad range of topics from the structure theory and the representation theory of algebraic groups (in the widest sense). There was emphasis on the following areas: structure and classification of wonderful varieties, finite reductive groups and character sheaves, quantum cohomology of homogeneous varieties, representation ...
