Subalgebras of Group Algebras [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1969
I. Let G be a locally compact group and m its Haar measure. For any m-measurable subset S of G, let L(S) be the subspace of L1(G) consisting of elements f such that fG\S If I dm =0. If S is a subsemigroup then L(S) is a subalgebra of L1(G). Various papers ([4], [5] and [7]) have been devoted to the study of L(S) and to the question of whether there is ...

A Multivariate Mixed‐Effects Regression Framework for Ground Motion Modeling: Integrating Parametric and Machine Learning Approaches

open access: yesEarthquake Engineering &Structural Dynamics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Multivariate ground motion models (GMMs) that capture the correlation between different intensity measures (IMs) are essential for seismic risk assessment. Conventional GMMs are often developed using a two‐stage approach, where separate univariate models with predefined functional forms are fitted first, and correlation is addressed in a ...

Group algebras and coding theory: a short survey

open access: yesRevista Integración, 2019
We study codes constructed from ideals in group algebras and we are particularly interested in their dimensions and weights. First we introduced a special kind of idempotents and study the ideals they generate.

The derivation algebra and automorphism group of the electrical Lie algebra of type D5

open access: yes上海师范大学学报. 自然科学版
In this paper, we mainly investigate the derivation algebra and automorphism group of type D5 electrical Lie algebra. We prove that the outer derivations are four-dimensional, and the automorphism group Aut $\mathcal{L} \cong \mathbb{C}^* \ltimes\left ...

An Efficient Quasi‐Static Condensation‐Based Framework for Seismic Analysis of Multi‐Supported Secondary Structures

open access: yesEarthquake Engineering &Structural Dynamics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Multi‐supported non‐structural components (NSCs) are prone to seismic damage, yet their response prediction remains challenging when support motions are spatially incoherent. This study proposes an enhanced quasi‐static condensation (EQSC) method for linear, lightweight, dynamically detuned multi‐supported NSCs under the neglect of primary ...

Regionalizing the food dollar

open access: yesJournal of the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association, EarlyView.
Abstract This study spatially extends the USDA's Food Dollar framework, analyzing food expenditure distribution across regional economies. Using regional SAMs and county‐level data, we estimate farm shares, industry contributions, and food dollar multipliers. Results reveal significant geographic disparities, with processing shares ranging from over 25%
