Blocks of group algebras are derived simple [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
A derived version of Maschke’s theorem for finite groups is proved: the derived categories, bounded or unbounded, of all blocks of the group algebra of a finite group are simple, in the sense that they admit no nontrivial recollements.

Sequential Quantum Measurements and the Instrumental Group Algebra

open access: yesQuantum Reports
Many of the most fundamental observables—position, momentum, phase point, and spin direction—cannot be measured by an instrument that obeys the orthogonal projection postulate.

Algebraic automorphism groups [PDF]

open access: yesIllinois Journal of Mathematics, 1975
For an algebraic group G, let W(G) denote the group of all algebraic group automorphisms of G. In this chapter, we examine the possibility of endowing W(G) with the structure of an algebraic group in such a way that G becomes a strict W(G)-variety. The example of a toroid of dimension greater than 1 shows that this is not always possible. However, good

Hom-Lie color algebra structures

open access: yes, 2010
This paper introduces the notion of Hom-Lie color algebra, which is a natural general- ization of Hom-Lie (super)algebras. Hom-Lie color algebras include also as special cases Lie (super) algebras and Lie color algebras.

Quartic exercises

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2003
A correspondence between quartic étale algebras over a field and quadratic étale extensions of cubic étale algebras is set up and investigated. The basic constructions are laid out in general for sets with a profinite group action and for torsors, and ...

Eight-dimensional real absolute-valued algebras with left unit whose automorphism group is trivial

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2003
We classify, by means of the orthogonal group 𝒪7(ℝ), all eight-dimensional real absolute-valued algebras with left unit, and we solve the isomorphism problem.

Algebraic (2, 2)-transformation groups [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Group Theory, 2009
This paper contains the more significant part of the article with the same title that will appear in the Volume 12 of Journal of Group Theory (2009). In this paper we determine all algebraic transformation groups $G$, defined over an algebraically closed field $\sf k$, which operate transitively, but not primitively, on a variety $ $, provided the ...

Aggregating distributed energy resources for grid flexibility services: A distributed game theoretic approach

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, EarlyView., 2023
Abstract We propose a hierarchical energy management scheme for aggregating Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) for grid flexibility services. To prevent a direct participation of numerous prosumers in the wholesale electricity market, aggregators, as self‐interest agents in our scheme, incentivize prosumers to provide flexibility. We firstly model the

A duality of locally compact groups which does not involve the Haar measure

open access: yes, 2014
We present a simple and intuitive framework for duality of locally compacts groups, which is not based on the Haar measure. This is a map, functorial on a non-degenerate subcategory, on the category of coinvolutive Hopf \cst-algebras, and a similar map ...

Evolutionary dynamics on a regular networked structured and unstructured multi‐population

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, EarlyView., 2023
Abstract In this paper, we study collective decision‐making in a multi‐population framework, where groups of individuals represent whole populations that interact by means of a regular network. Each group consists of a number of players and every player can choose between two options.
