A Class of Binary Codes Using a Specific Automorphism Group

open access: yesMathematics
In this article, we showcase PSL(3,4) as the automorphism group for a specific class of three linear binary codes, C1, C2 and C3, with dimension 9. The demonstration involves leveraging the action of the group PSL(3,4), represented by invertible matrices

Constructing DNA Codes with Larger Distance from Quaternary Words

open access: yesJambura Journal of Mathematics
In this work, we propose a novel method to construct DNA codes from quaternary words. The method uses permutation groups that act in the set {1, 2, …, 4n}, representing the coordinate and coordinate value of quaternary words.

New Results on Binary Codes Obtained by Doubling Construction

open access: yesCybernetics and Information Technologies, 2018
Binary codes created by doubling construction, including quasi-perfect ones with distance d = 4, are investigated. All [17·2r−6, 17·2r−6 − r, 4] quasi-perfect codes are classified.

Spreading ridge migration enabled by plume-ridge de-anchoring

open access: yesNature Communications
It has long been recognised that spreading ridges are kept in place by competing subduction forces that drive plate motions. Asymmetric strain rates pull spreading ridges in the direction of the strongest slab pull force, which partially explains why ...
