Contributions to Real Exponential Lie Groups
Monatshefte fr Mathematik, 2000Necessary and sufficient conditions are given for the exponentiality of real Lie groups of mixed type, i.e. groups which are neither solvable nor semisimple. Necessary conditions are proved in Section 2 for connected real Lie groups to be exponential (Theorems 2 and 3), and sufficient conditions are given for real algebraic groups which are semidirect ...

Contribution to the Theory of Abstract Groups
1974It is well known that in the theory of abstract groups an important role is played by the free groups of which the quotient groups make up an inexhaustible resource for the abstract groups. There exist, however, some more vast classes of abstract groups which contain the free groups as very particular case; they are the classes of P-groups.

Functional group contributions to drug-receptor interactions
Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, 1984The binding constants and structural components of 200 drugs and enzyme inhibitors have been used to calculate the average binding energies of 10 common functional groups. As expected, charged groups bind more strongly than polar groups, which in turn bind more tightly than nonpolar groups.

Contributions of blood groups to human genetics
Proceedings of the Royal Society of London. Series B. Biological Sciences, 1965Abstract Landsteiner discovered blood groups in 1900, the year in which the significance of Mendel’s work was first appreciated. Yet there was a surprisingly long interval before the ABO groups were seen to be inherited characters, characters perfectly illustrating Mendel’s laws: this took almost 10 years.

Evaluation of group contributions to ligand binding
Journal of Theoretical Biology, 1979Abstract Definitions are proposed for the independent and joint contributions that the chemical groups A and B make to the free energy of association of the ligand A − B with a receptor. The definitions are independent of the choice of the standard state and are consistent with the basic thermodynamic cycle relating the association of the ...

The role leader's contribution and group functions play in employees' contribution to work groups
Evidence-based HRM: a Global Forum for Empirical ScholarshipPurpose This study examined direct and indirect relationships between leaders' contribution to work groups and employees' (group members') contribution, as well as direct and indirect connections between group functions and employees' contribution to work groups.

Group Analysis, 1993
The theory of `figuration `formulated by Norbert Elias (1897-1990) is the basis of S.H. Foulkes's concept of group analysis and the group as network. The author assesses the importance of The Civilizing Process (Elias, 1939) and of the `critical theory' of the Frankfurt School with which they were both involved and discusses the application of group ...

CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE GEOLOGY OF THE TABLE MOUNTAIN GROUP
1998Modern analysis of Table Mountain Group sediments began with I. C. Rust's D.Sc. thesis "On the sedimentation of the Table Mountain Group in the western Cape Province" in 1967. Rust defined the stratigraphy of the Table Mountain Group, produced computer generated isopach and palaeocurrent maps for each formation and attempted palaeoenvironmental ...
