Group inverse sampling: An economical approach to inverse sampling
Environmetrics, 2017Inverse sampling is an adaptive design in the sense that the final sampling effort during a search for rare events will depend on what is found during the survey. Conventional inverse sampling (CIS) designs successively select individual sampling units to find, for example, the kth rare event.

The Continuity of Inverse in Groups
Moscow University Mathematics Bulletin, 2022This article is a contribution to the question under which conditions a paratopological group is a topological group. For that the author introduces the concept of a \(\Delta\)-Baire space. A topological space \(X\) is a \(\Delta\)-Baire space if for every set \(P\subseteq X\times X\) containing the diagonal \(\Delta:=\{(x,x):x\in X\}\) and having the ...

Individuals, Groups and Inverse Discrimination
Analysis, 1973M ANY morally sensitive people find themselves faced with the following dilemma. On the one hand, they are persuaded by the argument that if being black, e.g., is morally irrelevant, then it is morally irrelevant and no more justifies favourable inverse discrimination than it justifies unfavourable discrimination.

Inverse semigroups through groups
International Journal of Mathematical Education in Science and Technology, 1990In most introductory abstract algebra courses the topics covered are groups, rings and fields. In recent years, semigroups have been included due to their value in certain areas of computer science. However, after a few examples of familiar semigroups, the subject is forgotten and concentration is placed on developing the group structure. In this paper

Group inverse and group involutory Matrices∗
Linear and Multilinear Algebra, 1998In this work we deal with group involutory matrices, i.e.A #=A. We give necessary and sufficient conditions to characterize these matrices in terms of different representations of the group inverse. First, we give different expressions of the group inverse of a square matrix A. In addition, the special case of integer matrices is considered.

Group inverses and Drazin inverses over Banach algebras
Integral Equations and Operator Theory, 1993Necessary and sufficient conditions are given for the existence of group and Drazin inverses of matrices over a complex commutative unital Banach algebra. Explicit formulas are provided for the inverses. Properties of these inverses and an application to operator theory are discussed.

Inverse shadowing in group actions
Dynamical Systems, 2016ABSTRACTWe study the inverse shadowing property for actions of some finitely generated groups. A tube condition for such actions is introduced and analysed. We prove a reductive inverse shadowing theorem for actions of virtually nilpotent groups.
