Various Bounds of Group of Autocentral Automorphisms

open access: yes, 2019
In this paper, we find various bounds for the group of all autocentral automorphisms of a finite group $G$. We consider the cases, where the group of all autocentral automorphisms coincides with its upper bound, that is, the group of all central ...

Variations of Rigidity

open access: yesИзвестия Иркутского государственного университета: Серия "Математика"
One of the main derived objects of a given structure is its automorphism group, which shows how freely elements of the structure can be related to each other by automorphisms.

Characterization of the automorphisms having the lifting property in the category of abelian p-groups

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2003
Let p be a prime. It is shown that an automorphism α of an abelian p-group A lifts to any abelian p-group of which A is a homomorphic image if and only if α=π idA, with π an invertible p-adic integer.

Automorphisms of transition systems

open access: yesМоделирование и анализ информационных систем, 2007
A automorphism of transitions system is an isomorphism of a system oneself. In the article are showed, that every finite group may be embedded in a group of automorphisms of a certain transition system.

Extended Symmetry of Higher Painlevé Equations of Even Periodicity and Their Rational Solutions

open access: yesMathematics
The structure of the extended affine Weyl symmetry group of higher Painlevé equations of N periodicity depends on whether N is even or odd. We find that for even N, the symmetry group A^N−1(1) contains the conventional Bäcklund transformations sj,j=1,…,N,

Generation by Conjugate Elements of Finite Almost Simple Groups With a Sporadic Socle

open access: yesИзвестия Иркутского государственного университета: Серия "Математика"
We study the minimum number of elements in the conjugacy class of an automorphism of a sporadic simple group that generate a subgroup containing all inner automorphisms.

Finite p-groups with a Frobenius group of automorphisms whose kernel is a cyclic p-group

open access: yes, 2015
Suppose that a finite p-group G admits a Frobenius group of automorphismsFH with kernel F that is a cyclic p-group and with complement H. It is provedthat if the fixed-point subgroup CG(H) of the complement is nilpotent of class c,then G has a ...

On topological groups of monotonic automorphisms

open access: yesApplied General Topology
We study topological groups of monotonic automorphisms on a generalized ordered space L. We find a condition that is necessary and sufficient for the set of all monotonic automorphism on L along with the function composition and the topology of point ...

Metric properties of outer space

open access: yes
We define metrics on Culler-Vogtmann space, which are an analogue of the Teichmuller metric and are constructed using stretching factors. In fact the metrics we study are related, one being a symmetrised version of the other.

Bounded Automorphisms of Groups

open access: yesJournal of Algebra, 1994
Let \(G\) be the fundamental group of a graph of groups (in the sense of Bass-Serre theory). Such a group has a natural length function and thus a corresponding notion of bounded subgroups and bounded automorphisms. The general result of this paper is that an automorphism of \(G\) is bounded if and only if it is induced by isomorphisms of vertex groups
