Multiplex single‐cell profiling of putative cancer stem cell markers ALDH1, SOX9, SOX2, CD44, CD133 and CD15 in endometrial cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cancer stem cells are associated with aggressive disease, but a deep characterization of such markers is lacking in endometrial cancer. This study uses imaging mass cytometry to explore putative cancer stem cell markers in endometrial tumors and corresponding organoid models.

On Bravais Colorings Associated with Periodic and Non-Periodic Crystals [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2010
In this work, a theory of color symmetry is presented that extends the ideas of traditional theories of color symmetry for periodic crystals to apply to non-periodic crystals. The color symmetries are associated to each of the crystalline sites and may correspond to different chemical species, various orientations of magnetic moments and colorings of a

International Innovation Standards and Indexes

open access: yesRUDN Journal of Economics, 2011
The article deals with the OECD standards of innovation activity including Oslo Manual as well as Fraskati Manual and Canberra Manual. Particular attention is paid to the evolution of innovation metrics in 1950-2000.

Targeting PRAME directly or via EZH2 inhibition overcomes retinoid resistance and represents a novel therapy for keratinocyte carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The study evaluated the function and therapeutic implications of PRAME in basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). The findings demonstrate that PRAME impairs keratinocyte differentiation pathways. Furthermore, PRAME impairs anticancer response to retinoid compounds in BCC and SCC cells.

Well‐being on supportive techniques in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis: from neurologists' perspective

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, Volume 9, Issue 12, Page 1874-1883, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Objective To investigate intercultural neurologists' perception of well‐being in patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) using gastrostomy (PEG), non‐invasive, and/or invasive ventilation (NIV/IV) and to analyse the determinants and impact on the management of the above medical interventions (MIs).

A Group-Theoretical Approach to the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements: Old and New Developments [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2005
This paper is a companion article to the review paper by the present author devoted to the classification of matter constituents (chemical elements and particles) and published in the first part of the proceedings of The Second Harry Wiener International Memorial Conference (see quant-ph/0310155).

Classification of acute myeloid leukemia based on multi‐omics and prognosis prediction value

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The Unsupervised AML Multi‐Omics Classification System (UAMOCS) integrates genomic, methylation, and transcriptomic data to categorize AML patients into three subtypes (UAMOCS1‐3). This classification reveals clinical relevance, highlighting immune and chromosomal characteristics, prognosis, and therapeutic vulnerabilities.

Clinical heterogeneity in a family with flail arm syndrome and review of hnRNPA1‐related spectrum

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, Volume 9, Issue 12, Page 1910-1917, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Objective Flail arm syndrome (FAS) is one of the atypical subtypes of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Mutations in hnRNPA1 encoding heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein (hnRNP) A1 are a rare genetic cause of ALS. Herein, marked clinical heterogeneity of FAS in a pedigree with a known hnRNPA1 variant was described to raise early ...

Periodic Molecular Arrangements from Space Groups [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 1996
We demonstrate, using examples from $2$ and $3$-dimensions, a systematic method of finding all possible periodic arrangements of a given molecule or molecules such that the arrangements have the symmetry of a given space group. The technique is based on work by Rabson {\it et.\ al.\}. We give tables of generators which facilitate such work.

Icosahedral quasicrystal and 1/1 cubic approximant in Au-Al-Yb alloys

open access: yes, 2011
A P-type icosahedral quasicrystal is formed in Au-Al-Yb alloy of which 6-dimensional lattice parameter a6D = 7.448 {\AA}. The composition of the quasicrystal was analyzed to be Au51Al34Yb15.
