Adenosine‐to‐inosine editing of miR‐200b‐3p is associated with the progression of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.

Reduction of Li+ within a borate anion

open access: yesNature Communications
Group 1 elements exhibit the lowest electronegativity values in the Periodic Table. The chemical reduction of Group 1 metal cations M+ to M(0) is extremely challenging.

Mechanical Properties of Two-Dimensional Metal Nitrides: Numerical Simulation Study

open access: yesNanomaterials
It is expected that two-dimensional (2D) metal nitrides (MNs) consisting of the 13th group elements of the periodic table and nitrogen, namely aluminium nitride (AlN), gallium nitride (GaN), indium nitride (InN) and thallium nitride (TlN), have enhanced ...

The influence of ROS1 fusion partners and resistance mechanisms in ROS1‐TKI‐treated non‐small cell lung cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This real‐world study of ROS1+ NSCLC highlights fusion diversity, treatment outcomes with crizotinib and lorlatinib, and in vitro experiments with resistance mechanisms. G2032R drives strong resistance to ROS1‐targeted TKIs, especially lorlatinib. Fusion partner location does not affect overall survival to crizotinib or lorlatinib. Findings support the

Towards Completion of the “Periodic Table” of Di-2-Pyridyl Ketoxime

open access: yesMolecules
The oxime group is important in organic and inorganic chemistry. In most cases, this group is part of an organic molecule possessing one or more donor sites capable of forming bonds to metal ions.

THE PROBLEM OF "ZERO ELEMENTS" IN THE WORKS OF D. I. MENDELEEV. NEUTRON MATTER AS A PRIMARY COSMOLOGICAL AND MODERN DARK MATTER OF THE UNIVERSE

open access: yesOdessa Astronomical Publications, 2019
D.I. Mendeleev assumed the existence of elements X ("Newtonium") and Y ("Coronium") in front of hydrogen in the zero group of the periodic system of chemical elements (PS).

Short peptide perturbs spermatogenesis via immune microenvironment dysregulation and mitochondrial imbalance

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In the blood–testis barrier, occludin is crucial for tight junctions. This study demonstrates that occludin‐targeting short peptides disrupt junction integrity, inducing immune cell infiltration, tumor necrosis factor‐α/interleukin‐6 secretion and mitochondrial dysfunction, ultimately triggering apoptosis.

Cosmological-Billiards Groups and self-adjoint BKL Transfer Operators

open access: yes, 2015
Cosmological billiards arise as a map of the solution of the Einstein equations, when the most general symmetry for the metric tensor is hypothesized, and points are considered as spatially decoupled in the asymptotic limit towards the cosmological ...

Genetic diversity and population structure of the Taigan dog breed

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The Taigan is a rare sighthound from the mountains of Kyrgyzstan. We used DNA markers to study its genetic diversity and compare it with other sighthound breeds. Our findings show that the Taigan shares close genetic ties with the Kazakh Tazy, suggesting a common ancestry shaped by nomadic traditions and regional adaptation.
