The enthalpies of formation of a series of saturated and unsaturated closed-shell silicon-containing compounds have been calculated using various ab initio methods of quantum chemistry adapted to the size of the species under consideration. A large variety of bond energy terms involving the silicon, germanium or tin atom were derived from our ...

The periodic table: The 6d-5f mixed transition group
Journal of Chemical Education, 1952With relatively few modifications, the Bohr-type periodic table presented by Glocker and Popov can be made to reflect more instructively the rather complex relationships obtained in the neighborhood of the 4f or gadolinium transition group and, more importantly, in the 6d-5f sequence extending from actinium through the region of uranium and the ...

Oxide Adhesion on Periodic Table Group 4 and 5 Metals
1989The oxide scale adhesion on Periodic Table group IV and V metals is evoked through two new concepts in high temperature corrosion: bistability and solute elastic effect.

Thermal and thermodynamic data concerning the selenites from group IB in the periodic table
Thermochimica Acta, 1984Abstract The thermal dehydration of CuSeO 3 ·2 H 2 O, and the thermal dissociation of CuSeO 3 and Ag 2 SeO 3 are studied. The mechanism of these processes is suggested. The heats of phase transitions and the specific heats of the corresponding compounds are determined.

In the process of research [1], a study was made of electrical conductivity of polycrystals of the nitrites of lithium, sodium, potassium, rubidium, and cesium, as a function of temperature from −150 °C to their melting points: 222, 438, 283, 422, and 400 ° C, respectively.

Gas chromatography of chlorides and bromides of III-, IV- and V-group elements in the periodic table [PDF]
The theory for the relation between retention volume and boiling point in gas chromatography was applied to the retention volumes for bromides of IV- and chlorides and bromides of III- and V-group elements in the periodic table, as an extension of the previous paper on chlorides of IV-group elements.

Advances in polymerization catalysts based on 4 and 5F groups of periodic table
Inorganica Chimica Acta, 1984Abstract So far, in the development of new catalyst systems, the attention of chemists has been customarily addressed to catalyst activity, regio and stereospecificity. Nowadays, the impact of catalyst systems on other aspects of a chemical process has to be taken in due account, in relation to the increased cost of raw materials and energy.
