More on the Schur group of a commutative ring

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1985
The Schur group of a commutative ring, R, with identity consists of all classes in the Brauer group of R which contain a homomorphic image of a group ring RG for some finite group G.

ON-SITE SEMANTIC MAPPING OF ARCHAEOLOGICAL EXCAVATION AREAS [PDF]

open access: yesISPRS Annals of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2013
3D laser scanning is the state of the art in modeling archaeological excavation sites, historical sites and even entire cities or landscapes. The documentation of findings on an excavation site is an essential archaeological task.

Reversible group rings

open access: yesJournal of Algebra, 2004
An associative ring \(R\) with identity is said to be reversible if \(ab=0\) implies \(ba=0\) for all \(a,b\in R\). The main problem of this paper is the question when the group ring \(K[G]\) of a group \(G\) over a field \(K\) is reversible. The authors prove that if \(G\) is a non-Abelian torsion group and \(K[G]\) is reversible, then \(G\) is ...

Duo group rings

open access: yesJournal of Pure and Applied Algebra, 2007
A ring \(R\) is said to be (i) `duo' if every one-sided ideal is two-sided, and (ii) `reversible' if whenever \(\alpha\beta=0\) for \(\alpha,\beta\in R\), then \(\beta\alpha=0\). The main result of this paper states that, for the group algebra \(KG\) of a torsion group \(G\) over a field \(K\), these two properties are equivalent.

Group extensions and automorphism group rings [PDF]

open access: yesHomology, Homotopy and Applications, 2003
The group ring of the automorphism group of a p-group is studied using the automorphism groups of subgroups and quotient groups of P.

Pain Detection in Biophysiological Signals: Knowledge Transfer from Short-Term to Long-Term Stimuli Based on Distance-Specific Segment Selection

open access: yesComputers, 2023
In this study, we analyze a signal segmentation-specific pain duration transfer task by applying knowledge transfer from short-term (phasic) pain stimuli to long-term (tonic) pain stimuli.

Hopfian additive groups of rings [PDF]

open access: yesИзвестия Саратовского университета. Новая серия: Математика. Механика. Информатика
A group is called Hopfian  if it is not isomorphic to any of its proper factor groups, or, equivalently, any of its epimorphisms on itself is an isomorphism, i.e., an automorphism. This property was first proved by the Swiss mathematician H.

Study on Deformation Characteristics of Low-Highway Subgrade under Traffic Load

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
Highway subgrade bears millions of traffic loads over the years, and its strength, stiffness, and long-term stability gradually decline. In this paper, dynamic triaxial tests were carried out to study the time evolution and spatial distribution of strain

On one class of modules over group rings with finiteness restrictions [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Group Theory, 2014
The author studies the $bf R$$G$-module $A$ such that $bf R$ is an associative ring, a group $G$ has infinite section $p$-rank (or infinite 0-rank), $C_{G}(A)=1$, and for every proper subgroup $H$ of infinite section $p$-rank (or infinite 0-rank ...
