Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Energy-Preserving/Group-Preserving Schemes for Depicting Nonlinear Vibrations of Multi-Coupled Duffing Oscillators

open access: yesVibration
In the paper, we first develop a novel automatically energy-preserving scheme (AEPS) for the undamped and unforced single and multi-coupled Duffing equations by recasting them to the Lie-type systems of ordinary differential equations.

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Antibiotic prophylaxis in prostate biopsy: a comparative randomized clinical assay between ciprofloxacin, norfloxacin and chloramphenicol

open access: yesInternational Brazilian Journal of Urology, 2003
OBJECTIVE: To compare, prospectively, 4 different schemes of antibiotic prophylaxis previously to transrectal prostate biopsy. MATERIALS AND METHODS: 257 patients were randomized in 4 groups: Group I: single dose of ciprofloxacin 2 hours before the ...

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

PKIS: practical keyword index search on cloud datacenter

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, 2011
This paper highlights the importance of the interoperability of the encrypted DB in terms of the characteristics of DB and efficient schemes. Although most prior researches have developed efficient algorithms under the provable security, they do not ...

ABOUT DEVELOPMENT OF COMPUTATIONAL SCHEMES OF GROUP TARGETED KINEMATIC DEVICES FOR SOME ELASTIC SYSTEMS

open access: yesInternational Journal for Computational Civil and Structural Engineering
For some elastic systems with a finite number of degrees of freedom of mass, in which the directions of mass movement are parallel, methods have been developed for creating additional kinematic devices, the introduction of each of which targetly reduces

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.
