The death of reflective supervision? An exploration of the role of reflection within supervision in a Local Authority Youth Offending Service [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Reflection within supervision has been identified as key to effective social work practice (Munro, 2011). However, despite the tradition of supervision being strongly embedded in youth justice practice, other imperatives, such as audit monitoring and ...

Research on Intelligent Control Platform in Urban Rail Transit FAO Scenario

open access: yesChengshi guidao jiaotong yanjiu
[Objective] The existing operational mechanisms primarily rely on operational management systems that drive personnel to perform operational tasks. Operational staff communicate information through phones or intercom devices and issue operational control

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Shaping supervision practice through research: Effects of supervision for counselling practice

open access: yes, 2007
That there are links between effective supervision and effective counselling practice tends to be taken for granted. As a contribution to documenting the professional knowledges and experiences that might stand behind the profession’s claims for the ...

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

The effectiveness of banking supervision

open access: yes, 2009
Banking supervision is an essential aspect of modern financial systems, seeking crucially to monitor risk-taking by banks so as to protect depositors, the government safety net and the economy as a whole against systemic bank failure and its consequences.

Group process variables in group supervision [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
The purpose of this study was to systematically investigate process components during actual group supervision with the purpose of targeting process variables that could serve as a basis for further research regarding critical components of group ...

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.
