Estimating Hierarchical Demand in Retail Operations
ABSTRACT A hierarchical structure over product attributes is a central input to many product assortment and inventory optimization models, yet no existing method can recover such structures from the aggregate sales data that retailers routinely collect.

We demonstrate an approach for mapping the probability of landowners' willingness to allow wildlife management actions on their property using chronic wasting disease as a case study. Larger property sizes were associated with higher landowner willingness. We mapped predictions across the contiguous United States at the census tract level.

ABSTRACT Although several environmental challenges exist globally, land degradation is the greatest threat and risk factor wedging human livelihoods. Despite widespread awareness of climate change, little empirical evidence exists on land degradation and its impacts on livelihoods in semi‐arid agroecological systems.

Clinical Utility of Trio Exome Sequencing in Rwandan Children With Autism Spectrum Disorder
Addressing the Gap: First trio‐based WES study of ASD in Rwanda, addressing African underrepresentation in global genomics. Diagnostic Yield: 12.9% yield of clinically relevant variants, consistent with global benchmarks (10%–30%). Genetic Findings: Confirmed de novo likely pathogenic variants identified in high‐impact ASD genes, including SYNGAP1 and ...

ABSTRACT Purpose Teaching is widely recognised as a psychologically demanding profession, with sustained exposure to work‐related stressors posing risks to teachers' mental well‐being and professional functioning. Drawing on the ‘Job Demands‐Resources model and Self‐Determination Theory’, this study examined how teachers' psychological capital (PsyCap),

Whose Digital Future? Civil Society and Alternative Imaginaries in Transnational Digital Governance
ABSTRACT This article investigates different visions of digital futures, examining how desired futures are discursively constructed within civil society in transnational digital governance. The analysis builds on discourse theory and a growing body of research on imaginaries in digital governance.

A synthetic eco‐evolutionary proposal for the conservation of wild relatives of the olive tree
Societal Impact Statement Crop wild relatives (CWR) are valuable sources of genetic diversity for plant breeding. However, the identification of wild untapped genetic resources (i.e., unexploited in crops) is not always straightforward. We propose a methodology to guide the identification and conservation of these resources that integrates both genetic

Small Reservoirs Offer a New Perspective on Flood Reduction in Large Basins
Abstract The flood reduction potential of individual reservoirs within a large river network continuum remains poorly understood due to the complex interplay between reservoir characteristics and network properties. Here we investigate whether a collection of relatively small reservoirs can play a significant role in mediating downstream floods and ...

Abstract The U.S. Department of Energy Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) User Facility recently released ensembles of high‐resolution atmospheric simulations of deep convection to complement ARM's measurements. These simulations are from the Large‐Eddy Simulation (LES) ARM Symbiotic Simulation and Observation (LASSO) activity and are for 20 case ...

Abstract Land surface models (LSMs) such as the Community Land Model version 5 (CLM5) are central to climate–carbon assessments but exhibit persistent biases relative to site‐level observations. It remains unclear to what extent model‐data mismatches arise from uncertainty in meteorological forcing, soil properties, or vegetation traits, and to what ...
