A unimodular random graph with large upper growth and no growth [PDF]
We construct a unimodular random rooted graph with maximal degree $d\geq 3$ and upper growth rate $d-1$, which does not have a growth rate. Ab\'ert, Fraczyk and Hayes showed that for a unimodular random tree, if the upper growth rate is at least $\sqrt{d-1}$, then the growth rate exists, and asked with some scepticism if this may hold for more general ...

Explaining the Origin of the Anthropocene and Predicting Its Future [PDF]
Growth of the world population and the world economic growth were hyperbolic in the past 2,000,000 years. Recently, from around 1950, they started to be diverted to slower trajectories but they are still close to the historical hyperbolic trajectories. Regional growth of population and regional economic growth were also hyperbolic.

Growth hegemony and post-growth futures:A complex hegemony approach [PDF]
To date, the vast majority of post-growth thinking has been focused on explaining why a post-growth transition is needed and the policies this would entail.

Surfaceome: a new era in the discovery of immune evasion mechanisms of circulating tumor cells
In the era of immunotherapies, many patients either do not respond or eventually develop resistance. We propose to pave the way for proteomic analysis of surface‐expressed proteins called surfaceome, of circulating tumor cells. This approach seeks to identify immune evasion mechanisms and discover potential therapeutic targets. Circulating tumor cells (

Most children who have short or tall stature do not have any abnormality and are simply at the extremes of the normal range. Children settle on to a centile position by 2 or 3 years of age and after this a normal child will grow fast enough to maintain themselves on the same centile until puberty. During puberty, sex steroids stimulate increased growth

Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a possibility for different applications in early and late stage breast cancer management. In early breast cancer tumor informed approaches are increasingly used for detecting molecular residual disease (MRD) and early recurrence. In advanced stage, ctDNA provides a possibility for monitoring disease progression and

Who do High-growth Firms Employ, and Who do they Hire? [PDF]
The purpose of this paper is to study who high- growth firms (HGFs) hire using a matched employer-employee dataset for all knowledge intensive industries in Sweden, where high growth is measured over the period 1999-2002.

In this explorative biomarker analysis, we assessed serial sampling of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) with CellSearch in two randomized trials testing immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in metastatic breast cancer. Our data demonstrate a prognostic potential of CTCs, most apparent 4 weeks into ICI therapy.
