Abstract Late industrialization is characterized by three facets of growth, as South Korea exemplifies. The first relates to diversification, or entrepreneurial decisions concerning penetration of new industries – which ones to penetrate, when, and with what size investment.

Dynamics of Growth and Profitability in Banking
Journal of Money, Credit, and Banking, 2004Dynamic panel and cross-sectional regressions are used to estimate growth and profit equations for a sample of commercial, savings, and co-operative banks from five major European Union countries during the mid-1990s. Methodologically, the paper unifies the growth and profit strands in the previous empirical literature.

In this chapter we discuss the asymptotic geometric behaviour of one-parameter subgroups of the group of Hamiltonian diffeomorphisms. We describe a link between geometry and invariant tori of classical mechanics.

Dynamics of metropolitan growth and unemployment
Journal of Urban Economics, 1980Abstract This paper presents a demand-oriented model of metropolitan growth with explicit regard to urban unemployment and spatial growth. After deriving an aggregate production function from an equilibrium pattern of production in space, we introduce some dynamic adjustment processes of capital, population, and the wage rate through time, and carry ...

Dynamics of root growth in microgravity
Journal of Biotechnology, 1996An experiment to study the growth of garden cress roots in microgravity is described. The experiment, denoted RANDOM, was an ESA Biorack experiment in the IML-2 flight in July 1994. In the absence of gravity, it can be anticipated that the roots would show random growth, changing their direction randomly.

Plant Growth and Population Dynamics
The main purpose of quantitative nematological research is twofold. First, to develop mathematical models that contribute to theory building. Second, for farmers, to achieve optimal financial returns of crops in the presence of plant-parasitic nematodes.Schomaker, Corrie H. +2 more

Dynamics of External Growth in SME
2006Our focus on external growth and related competence development as a process required observing and jointly examining a large number of variables that influence growth processes and, in particular, the complex relationships among them (Huber & Van de Ven, 1995).

Dynamics of Bacillus colony growth
Trends in Microbiology, 1993A growing bacterial colony is not an amorphous mass but is a dynamic and differentiated system. It may appear chaotic in the details of its structure but it can be accurately described by simple models for fractal geometry. As Benoit Mandelbrot said: 'Surprise, simple rules can generate rich structures'.
